It's been quite some time since we last updated you on our mod, Half-Life 2 Episode 3: The Return. We're excited to announce that the mod is now approximately 65% complete!
The bulk of our efforts have been focused on creating an immersive and engaging arctic environment for the player to explore. The arctic region is a unique and challenging environment to work with, and we've put a lot of thought and care into every aspect of it, from the snowy landscapes to the intricate details of the buildings.
One of the most challenging aspects of creating the arctic environment has been the lighting. We've spent a lot of time experimenting with different lighting techniques to create the right mood and atmosphere for the arctic setting. We're confident that the final result will be well worth it, as the lighting will play a big role in immersing the player in the arctic environment.
We're also proud to announce that the portal flow process has been completed and the map is optimized.
Our team is working hard to put the final touches on the mod, and we're aiming to release it in Q3 2023. We're confident that you'll love the finished product, and we can't wait to see you explore the arctic environment we've created.
