News - December - January, the progress of version 1.73

As for the work in progress, December 2013, WE ARE BACK!!!!!!!!! Hooray, fireworks everywhere, clinging glasses, and blowing whistles, aww the intensity! We are back and kicking and the UA mod progress is no longer on halt do to real life events like discussed in the October news.


Check this out. Over 50 fan made content was updated in our new Apocalypse library!

Here is our schedule.

As for the mod:

We got a lot of work to do, BUT the mod is pretty much almost done without a doubt. With regards to what got done out of the total work that needs to be done, we are then 86.33333333% complete! These are taken directly from my changelog, what is done / needs, and we hope to make this release golden and 100% organized for the implementation of future versions!

AI though is holding us back and that can and will take a while along with revamping the maps and making them better for the UA mod.

For those of you who do not know what 1.73 is?

What is 1.73? GOAL - Version 1.73 will be the primarily last 100% skirmish focused version before the Grand Release Gold Edition. This version is the big hit of skirmish gameplay, featuring less unbalanced races, polished feel, and finally, the final adjustments of each faction will take place. Like for example, Dark Eldar will have its complete conceptual design of the race finished in this version. Major changes in skirmish will not happen afterwords, and in this version, we will be sure that
major changes will not be meant to happen in the future. So this is it. New content will never be abandoned, and small concepts will be implemented to make things interesting. But vanilla 9 races revamp will not take effect.

Chaos Daemons race released from October, version 1.4 and 1.5 will be fixed along within version 1.73. So version 1.73 with New Races and its campaign will not be a hastle to install. Inquisition Daemonhunters and Chaos Daemons along with the campaign are not our primary focus, they will be done in version 1.74 and 1.75. Version 1.73 will be a complete version, not a patch, so this might replace the Grand Release 1.7 completely. :) So if you screwed up your installation from the past, then it isn't too late!

UCS, balance, AI, and others that are lacking in this mod will take in effect here. This is our primary focus along with mod maintenance and cleaning the mod for its complete release. Again, version 1.73 is NOT a patch and it will be a complete version because of issues regarding what is contained in version 1.7.

Earlier releases will remain on MOD DB. We hope to update Zombie Apocalypse 0.6 and improve that greatly. UA mod campaign will not be released in version 1.73 or 1.74 because it is still in the works and we want to release this thing polished and ready to go!

Release date? Unknown.

We have explored it all in this mod, and we are not inspired by passion anymore, so by these wonderful donations, well, just look at the progress!

This is no requirement, you are not forced to make any transaction, it is all optional, very appreciated, you can be put in the list of donators or possibly be a character in the UA mod when the campaign is done, and further, you get to boss us around and have at what you want!

Do you have any plans to implement catchans for the Imperial Guard? Will there be new units along with 1.73? Or are there plans to introduce them in later versions?

Will there be any additions to the dark eldar army list? Such as wracks and grotesques. And will the daemons be getting anything new? whether it be new units or a change in play style. Looking forward to this update keep up the good work guys.

hi, i am following UA for quite sometime and i must say its one big success with exception to few imbalances but its AWESOME,i would like to suggest the dark eldar avatar i have its photo as my profile, think you can add him, also check the dawn of war lexicanum it has some units from the lore that can also be added, thank you and good luck. Keep it up ;D
