Post news Report RSS Tour of Duty Developers vs. 101st AB Clan

The developers (and probably a few of our beta testers) will be playing a match against the 101st AB clan. It will be a closed match, however, we will have a HLTV proxy running on the Jolt USA server for spectators to watch if they so wish. Come out and watch us get slaugh... err I mean kick some butt

The developers (and probably a few of our beta testers) will be playing a match against the 101st AB clan.

It will be a closed match, however, we will have a HLTV proxy running on the Jolt USA server for spectators to watch if they so wish. Come out and watch us get slaugh... err I mean kick some butt :D.

Details:
Date: January 17th, 2002 (Next Friday)
Time: 9:00 PM EST (GMT -5)

We didn't quite get finished setting up HLTV, however, the following instructions let you use it (to be fixed in the next version):

  • Start TOD
  • Select Multiplayer, and then look for the blank spot between Internet Games and Lan games (to the side it says "spectate internet games", click it
  • Click 'add server', and enter in the following:
    193.218.99.206:27020 (note the port number)
  • When the spectator connects, bring down your console, and type spec_mode 3 (1-5 are valid choices here I think), that should put you in first person spectator mode, anyway, you can then press 'duck' to get your normal spectator menus

We'll probably play for an hour or so, so drop by and spectate this fun promotional event. We welcome invitations to play matches with other clans or leagues, contact a team member to make arrangements (2 weeks notice is preferred).
