Another week is almost over and we have made some progress regarding the environment that we'd like to show you. We know we are still sharing scenery developments but everything literally be perfect as real streets. Passing over the other developments is easy but we do not quit unless gaining fair picture quality. We have created real time reflections based on day time, materials reflection power and bias are dynamically changed by the day light power. Also we have prepared city street lights which have automatic illumination function by the time of the day. We also have been preparing new ambient cubemaps which will positively effect the real time lighting to make city look more realistic.

Real Time Reflections

We have applied new updated adjustment our materials reflection setup to fit with our scenery precisely. It is crucial to use correct reflection setup on materials to make scene look more realistic. Tiny tricky touches could make materials look like real. But it costs a lot in performance. It has to be well balanced with carefully.

New Dynamic Street Lights

We have replaced our Street Light models with better ones. They are now more realistic and can be lighten dinamically by the time of the day. Nights wont be pitch dark where as street lights wont be able to lighten whole street. You will be still in need of flashlight to move safely at nights. :)

New Traffic Lights & Intersection Logic

We have designed several types of Traffic Lights now.They are active and illuminated based on intersection logic. Lights placed the suitable edge of streets. We put another traffic tools crosswalk lights, mounts, switches, traffic cameras to the streets.

New Ambient Cubemaps

Ambient cubemap effects your scene lighting based on a provided image. Its used via Sky Light and if you'd like to lighten your scene like real places on day time, this is what you need. When it meets with Ambient Occlusion, the outcome is usually beyond perfect if you dont go too much hard on the sliders. :)

We have been creating new ambient cubemaps from Istanbul sceneries. From Bosphorus of Istanbul to Palace landscapes. When they reach the quality that we expected, we will be sharing them with you aswell.
