1-The news
As I said earlier in the summary, I don't have much to say about the development for this month. I've been through a lot of exams lately and I didn't have much time to build stuff for the mod. Yet, I've been reading a lot of articles about programming for the source engine. But I will talk about that in the next part of this post. For the rest, I've been drawing sketches on the copybook and thinking a lot about test chambers, gameplay mechanics etc... Also, as I'm working on another mod alongside No Jump, I've stopped developing stuff for it to finish this second mod. In fact, you'll be able to hear about this second mod very soon as I'm pretty far in the development and it should be finished in some couple of months.
2-Programming
Again, as I said in the previous part of this post, I've been reading a lot of articles on the Valve Developer Community about programming for the source engine to include new stuff in the mod and to have more fun. I just hope I will be able to make everything work as I'm still a novice in C++, yet I'll do my best to include the best of the best gameplay mechanics! In all cases, there will be a lot of new stuff and it won't just be a simple portal mod.
3-About The INSIDE POST
Lastly and to close this INSIDE POST, I want to talk about this monthly thing. I don't care about making a post every month, it's just that in a month I don't have the time to build a lot of new exciting stuff and so I've got nothing to say about the mod. That's why I've been thinking about publishing those posts every two to three month rather than every month. I will be posting a comment on No Jump's home page to tell you when the future post will be published!
What is this other mod your working on?
I'm sorry about the late reply, it seems I didn't get notified about your comment...
Well, my other mod is a kind of "joke" mod like The Stanley Parable.
It will be based on a Half-Life 2 mod, but exclusively using Developer commentary nodes.
I won't say much more as I'm working hard on this mod (as it's a short one) and which I hope I'll be able to talk soon.
If you have any other question, feel free to ask them, I'll try to answer them more rapidly this time...
