The Battle Grounds Demo 1.1 Release.

Today at 9pm GMT (10pm CET, 4pm EST), the Battle Grounds Demo version 1.1 is being released. The Battle Grounds, www.bgmod.com,, is the only Revolutionary War modification for the Half-Life engine. For those of you who have never played or heard of the Battle Grounds we aim to capture and recreate the atmosphere of the revolutionary war. With authentic weapons, detailed and atmospheric maps and fun gameplay, the Battle Grounds is an excellent modification to try.

-Out of edicts crash bug fixed (Servers are now extremely stable)
-Added Spectator as a team
-Added Bayonets
-Gun effects now appear
-Effects appearing on sky fixed
-Inverted bullet drop gone
-Removed Tomahawks
-Snowlake point exploit bug gone
-Bug where a massive amount of points were awarded if two players were in a point at the same time
-Voice commands now have delays (two-second delay between normal commands and thirty-second delay between Battle Cries)
-Mute now affects the text and sound of voice commands
-Win sounds will no longer overlap if two wins are close enough together
-All forms of automatic reloading are gone
-Fixed multiple variables being stored in the players info buffer, causing info string is full errors
-Basic team balancing implemented (you can't join a team with more players than the other)
-Valley and Ruin map fixes
-Shipload overview fixed
-Impact smoke size increased
-Reload and all other animations now appear in first person spectator
-The right hand command menu on the spectator panel now works
-Reduced data being sent while in spectator mode
-CPU Usage of round rules and point rules reduced
-Changing team and/or class will now kill you, to reduce confusion on whether you did actually change
-Third person reload added
-Modified Charleville skin
-Walking animation speed corrected
-sv_restartround added
-Bayonet for Brown Bess and Revolutionnaire added
-Deploy Time of Brown Bess and Revolutionnaire decreased
-Spectator mode bug fixes and text adjustments
-Map description texts added
-Reload times for muskets and rifles increased to 7.5 seconds
-Reload times for pistols increased to 5.5 seconds
-Powder horn and bullet added to reload animation
-New sabre and knife model
-New hands and uniform skin
-Player musket reload animation added
-Player pistol reload animation added
-Player bayonet stab animation added
-New Revolutionnaire v_ model
-All weapon fire sounds replaced
-All v_ model animations redone
-Added new Map models
-Added new wad
-Log file changes to meet the log format standard
-Incorrect version number in liblist.gam
-Typographical error in server.cfg
-Typographical error in mapcycle.txt
-Other Miscellaneous Bug fixes
