THE ART OF TSARDOMS
Here at Tsardoms we value both historical accuracy but also artistic impression. When a faction is created first our historians use various historical sources to create a roster. After that they write detailed descriptions of each unit including dress, style, clothing, heraldry, materials, accessories, weapons, type of armour, different upgrades and finally they find useful images from varios sources ranging from church paintings, frescoes, historical re-enactments, reconstructions, artistic impressions etc. In the next stage our artists use all this information and images to paint various impressions of how the unit should look like in our mod. Next, the modellers create models of the unit based on these impressions. Finally, the skinners take the model and create the skin of the unit and make the final touches.
As you can see there is a long process from unit concept all the way to the final unit.
Below we present this very progress for the Bosnian Spearmen unit
First our historian for Bosnia matija191 wrote the description of the unit. Next our artist Thinkerman painted the concept art of how they should look like
Then Hrobatos used various parts and skinned the actual unit with the variations
And here they are in the actual game
As always, this unit is still a work in progress so it will be improved and will likely be of higher quality in the final release.
Here are some more concept arts drawn by Thinkerman for the mod
Roman Soldier
Bulgarian Bolyars
Balkan cavalry
Bosnian Crossbowmen

Good job, though some of these pictures made me think of Mount & Blade more than Total War. Maybe you should change games? Just a thought. ;) Very good art and modelling nonetheless.
Thank you. Well all of team members are strategy fans rather than role playing so that's why we are modding Medieval II. That being said i think some do play M&B. The thing is that the mod will have far more than just modelling, there will be a lot of other features and scripts like family trees, marriages, coronations, religios systems, colonial systems etc.
