Good news, the game is almost complete!
All the 19 levels are finished, all the graphics, interface customizations, musics, and almost all sound effects too.
So basically now, I just need to do some deep test runs in order to validate the gameplay and track potential minor flaws and fix them.
A gameplay video has been posted some months ago, it is a 5 minutes run in level 18, starting from scratch (what won't happen in the final version, you always carry your equipment, skills and gold reserve). It can be seen here:
I also posted yesterday 2 files, that shows a lot of details, stats, info about skills and weapons. It is like separate manual pages in PDF format, that are important source of info for the gameplay. In game, it is not convenient to display all this info, so I provide here separate material that are more readable. Maybe I will create one similar page for enemies.
Stay tuned for more info, and don't hesitate to let questions or concerns in the comment section.
That's a wonderful surprise! I'm totally looking forward to the release! I'm following many projects, some of them for many years, but this one always had a very special place in my heart. Thank you for your dedication and godspeed! :)
Thanks for your support and enthusiasm!
Love the Orcish "ahoy" from warcraft 2 lol
Hey! How do you do? I just wanted to drop another line of how eager I am to play The Golden Parrot! I visited this site literally every single day since January 2nd - yes, that's how eager I am to play the game. ;) Cheers and godspeed!
Woops I didn't see your comment at time, but I didn't forget to progress and release the game :) Hope it matches your expectations, and worth your anticipation... Cheers.
I'm having a real blast with it! I like the intelligent level design and that the fights require quite a little bit of tactic and dexterity with the limited ammo and the necessity to go into close combat. I'm only at level 4 but so far I'm really enjoying TGP very much. The idea to implement an upgrade system is also very motivating. I'll give a proper review when I reach the end. :)
