We hasten to share the news about the project with you.

Basically now, we're working with level-design.There is a lot of work here, and ideas too. Almost completed planning of location of all key objects in empty parts of the level and began to implement the plan in some places.

First location is the part of the forest around the career.

1. Train station and adjacent rail ways.
2. Web forest.
3. Career.
4. Ordinary forest.

Second place is the lake about sewage treatment plant.

We're planning to make an asphalt road, destroyed by the flood, through the lake. We also decided to separate the bathing area and industrial one using a small sandy road. Don't forget, water isn't always radioactive and possibly you'll find something interesting there. :)

We also implemented some script features — artifact activation, for example. Some artifacts will help you get to inaccessible areas: you can melt a rusty metal grid with an acid artifact or burn the roots of plants that block the entrance to the cave with a fire one. There will be more exotic artifact types also. One of them allows you to place some kind of tentacles you can climb on, so it make you possible to overcome taller objects. Now we have just test version that works with cube, but we will make tentacles model and all beautiful things later.

Also we replenish the list of anomalies by adding our own, original ones. We created the prototype of flying anomaly that shots frost cloud to player.

And finally we decided to show you standard stalker anomalies we already have: how they affect the player and how you can use some of them for your own good.

My God!!!!!!
It's looking amazing from this update. Love the idea of a frost/ice type anomalies in the game and seeing the other anomalies in the CryEngine looks great (especially the Electro love that one).

Also Artefacts having a use that can effect the environment and such is an amazing concept love to see how the acid one works because that sounds sick.

The updated environments also look fantastic keep up the great work looking forward to future when I'l be able to play this!!!!

It definitely looks promising but 4 square kilometers to explore just seems small. In any case, I hope it'll release soon.

I'm a bit late to the party but the work you've got here is absolutely outstanding. Though the map is a WIP the graphical fidelity already makes a huge difference over the original, and the work you have so far matches the drab depressing Russian feel very well. And the anomalies, they're beautiful! The sprite/particle work is just as flashy but much more crisp, and even the little details like throwing a bolt and the anomalies reactions are spot on. I can't wait to see what's next, ya'll are doing god's work.
