Sweet!
Looks really good and funny, I'll download.
Cool, will have to give it a shot.
Downloading NOW
A great idea, you guys have even set up brackets for teams and players I love this! Cant wait to try it out, Downloading now :D
Epic, I'll play this a lot if it plays as good as it looks!
looks great guys... a nice twist on several other ball style games... Get rid of those hideous long range shadows and the overall look should be really good...
My first impression was "Smash-WHAT?". I'll definitely check it out, looks pretty good.
Looks very fun!!! =D
Lots of fun, but with a ping over 100 (Living in Japan was at 120 on the best server I could find) ruined the experience considerably. Hopefully we'll see more servers but for the majority of players it's definitely worth the download. Nice work guys.
looks awesome, will try later if I got time!
Sooooo speedball, then?
yea looks fun
Short: WTF!?
Good fun, be nice to play against some people however :P
downloading :D
It's very awesome gameplay-wise, and the players on the server I played it were coordinating and such which really added to the experience. Overall I think you have a lot of potential as your main focus is fun and you definitely achieved that :)
ps. you should work on completing the mod graphics-wise, that's what it's currently lacking IMO.
This looks really good! I'll give it a try when I get some time.
This is one sweet looking mod awesome work.
Krenzo again, eh? Are you not fond enough of yourself and the brilliant Empires mod, yet? Do you have to keep on creating great mods just to keep yourself satisfied? - Let's hope so!
-could also be you're just coincidentially playing that thang. Anyway, that is a dang hot mod!
"Do you have to keep on creating great mods just to keep yourself satisfied?"
Yes :) However, I'm not the team lead on this one, just the lead coder.
i found the controls quite fiddly and unintuitive. i was expecting the rope to be kinda elastic and propel me forwards with no effort.... but instead it seemed slow and cumbersome at first. could there be no auto aiming for the rope so you can concentrate on the game not your movement so much. it feels like the awkward movement detracts from playing the game a bit
You have to swing on the rope like tarzan would. It's a pendulum, not a line that reels you in instantly like a Quake grappling hook. Just practice with it a bit, and you'll get the hang of it. Try spectating some people who have the motion down.
It shouldn't be a problem if you're used to Tribes: Vengeance, hehe.
The system is very similar and I actually like that grappling hook alot more than the Quake one. Requires more skill and gets better results.
"get the hang of it" lol pun
stonecold23, that was actually a conscious design decision (tbh probably better described as a nifty emergent feature stemming from a design decision). If you fully concentrate on your movement, you can move really fast, but lose the ability to do anything else effectively except perhaps pass or run into the goal.
As a general rule, if hooking doesn't feel fun, you're probably doing it wrong. :D
Melonz :D
Love the goo gun :D
played more on my own 6 player server. It's quite nice :D, had a good amount of teammwork also funny was when one of my team was standing inside the enemy goal and I randomly passed the ball to him when trying to score, resulting in a run(which is more points I think?:D)
anyway it's pretty good when u get the hang of it!
P.S melonz in my mod are way more awesome!
So are there any servers up?
Yeah, there are 6 official servers up.
Looks like fun...I'd better download it.
ill be downloading this one now.
Nice job although I agree with those large shadows in the video seemed strange.
1. Saying "The Galaxy's most violent sport" sounds lame.
2. Galaxies* not Galaxy's.
No it's "The Galaxy's" most violent sport. Don't correct good grammar.
I just played it and the game has potential but two things will kill it...
1. Poor map design
2. Poor art direction which is generic and makes the game uninteresting.
I think the game would be much more at home on Unreal Engine 3 but not much support for that.
