Ray of Hope server server/map test with x64 bit. Enjoy!

Sorry about the sound, it's fault of youtube with its compression. As you can see, playing with your friends on a huge map and shooting mutants can already be done. The test was made on an almost clear version of Call of Pripyat, this is not the build with all our features. There is still a lot work to do here but we wanted to show you our progress on the game. Remember that this is by no means a final version of the game and the first version is going to be more stable and with more content.

My God, the alpha version already well? Imagine the final version, I am expecting much for this (game), you guys made my dream, merge all the maps into one. Atrais time I was doing it, but it was a failure, the guys who were working with me were false to me. The project is stopped is two years, I have saved the files. I am experienced in script and C language. Too bad I have no more time to Mecher with it, if I had time to spare, I would ask for a job vacancy to work on this (game).

As others, I'm impressed by your work, but I'm too a septic guy.

About the engine and the SDK, I have to say than I'm really confused about your work because of few points.

You was speaking about years of work on the engine. I can't understand how you did because I remember the leak of engine code source. This is not a long time ago. Did you have access to engine code before everybody in our community?

- what about the spawn? In the video, we can see few npc at the start, boars & flesh spawned by the scripted quest, respawn monsters in marsh a the end.
But no crow in the sky, no anomalies, no alife, no destroyable object?
Is it working correctly everywhere?

- what about the aimap? Did you increase the maximum size in your engine? The current max (vanilla) is around a full plane 3km*1km without decor objects, I don't remember the maximum aimap node count.
As I see in the video, there is spawn only in the marsh area, so aimap could be only here, not everywhere.

- what about the sound source/environment?
We can hear ambient sounds and there is a limit between exterior and undergrounds.
But there is no sound source. Do you plan to add them (win sounds in forest, frog in marsh areas & others)?

- what about light source? There is no one in the video. No light in undergrounds, no fire camp... are they working

- are you using sector and portals? what about the lmap?

It's easy to select sounds source and few spawn in vanilla scene, export them as a group object and introduce them in your scene. It's a quick way to show that everything is working everywhere.

I'm sorry, I hoped to see a full video without cut scene. But there are few ones as in the previous trailer. As it, you are not showing completely a single level.
I'm not saying you're layer or something else, but it's possible to merge marsh, escape and darkscape levels in a single one, do the same thing with darkscape and darkvalley et cetera.... and take few videos.

I hope to see one day a flying view without any cut-out, the real evidence than a giant level exist.

To conclude, if all of this work as you say, it's a giant progress in stalker modding & I really hope it'll work fine for you. And I hope to see this knowledge share in the community, this engine for mp and single players, this tools for modders.

I'm not a hater, I'm just trying to understand something who is impossible imo.
And I love your level design. Underground transitions are really nice.

This was only a test of the online synchronization everyone asked for. In the video you can only see how our engine (MP and x64 support features) works with Mutants, players and dynamics. Notice that this is not our build, it's a quick testing made without our features. The actual state of the game is way more complete that this little video presentation. We want to show the build as well, but we need some time to finish all the elements. Making everything work well together is hard, but there aren't problems we cannot solve.

This was mainly made as urgence to show how real people can play together with a faster system support in a scenario example. We've removed many of the limits the original XRay had, AImap problems included. We understand the scepticism (we, developers, were sceptics as well before seeing the actual engine working online in the open world during the short open tests and the daily "games" with the programmers. There is no reason to lie, we are players, modmakers, we are working on this project for ourselves as well.
Words and discussions are useless right now, let's wait for the upcoming build with the features (I am a Community Manager, but I work on the audio as well. I've spent two years on collecting, recording and edititing the most various sfx. Trust me, the quality is granted).

Yes, but only if connected to a server. You can create a local host or we could integrate a secondary launcher exclusively for the SP, but as the game is MP now will have the coop mode later, it wouldn't make much sense. In any case, that's not something difficult to do.

Love the progress Guys... please consider have the run speed not too be too fast on NPCs and Player because what I see is the video is that you can sprint many meters in seconds... maybe those players have almost no items in their inventories but still it seemed a little bit too much like it would be too easy to get into close range and shoot someone in the face with a shotgun.

All the animations will be changed or improved, these are the Call of Pripyat stock ones. We already have about 20 new animations, they'll be shown in the upcoming videos.

I've been playing Stalker COP for years now with different mods, last of them being MISERY, and even though the mod itself is brilliant, it doesn't bring any real content, once you have "survived" the game. Therefore I am freaking out with joy over the announcement of your mod! It is what every Stalker player always wanted: Infinitely many possibilities.
Thank you very much for that!

I have one remark (or rather request though):
As mods are commonly for people who are already familiar with a game, they are also looking for a bigger challenge.
The MISERY-mod did a really good work in making the game more of a survival-experience and therefore making Stalker a thousand times more immersive. I think many people in the community would be grateful if some of those "survival"-features would also make it into your game!

I know that this is just a start! and it looks mighty awesome! i cant imagine how hard it is to make something like this for Stalker multiplayer with all NPC's and mutants. One small request that you propably know for the future, could you please make the script for ''Keep your mask on'' ? so that your npc would look like he has a gasmask when he puts armor on. Also will you make the factions so that anyone can join Duty or Freedom? :D
