---------OLD-------

-Should there be a common color for the more generic Afghan units?

-Were there colors that only nobles used in India?

-Faction Colors

-Ahmednagar, Flag is White Background with a Dark Green Triangle, So white and green for the unit colors perhaps?
-Arguin, Flag is unknown?-they came from the Chagatai? so maybe just a modified version of that, White Background with a Yellow Square, so unit colors are white and yellow?
-Berar, Flag? Colors?
-Bengal Sultanate, White and Red?
-Bijapur, Flag? Colors?
-Delhi, Dark Green and Black
-Golconda, Flag is almost turquise in color, so turquise for units as well?
-Gujarat, flag is Red background with white crescent and star, so red and white?
-Mughals, Green and Yellow
-Marwar, Orange and Green?-or should that be for Marwar
-Malwa Sultanate, Flag is Red and White Bars, so red and white?
-Mewar, Orange and Red
-Mrauk-U, Flag/Colors?
-Orrisa, Colors?
-Tranvacore/Venad, Colors ?
-Vijayangara, Dark Yellow and Red?
-Zamourin, Flag/Colors?

Sikh troops, where do we find turbaned models depicting the early Sikh emergent troops? I can't find any medieval 2 mod for this.

Pbs.twimg.com

They seem very unique and a bit on the eccentric side to have a generic asiatic/orient look.

Also while at it, here's something for Ahmednagar Sultanate. Being the homeland of the Marathe chiefs, many important Chiefdoms like Jadhavs, Bhonsles, Pawar, Chavan and Nimbalkar etc were vassals to the Sultans of Ahmdnagar.

Maratha/Deccani Huzurat (Chief's guard). Sort of a fast medium cavalry.

Yeah the Sikhs and Marathas are going to be a problem unless we're willing to model our own units(ofcourse I'm not a graphic designer)

Well if we can just edit color and shading on a few existing models, than I suppose I can be worked out.

We're actually doing 2 campaigns right from 1519 to 1619 and 1619 to 1719 ??

The good thing is we won't have to worry about Sikhs until the second campaign

Nevertheless I'll keep searching and digging elsewhere

I was thinking a bit later then 1619 so the marathans would be playable, maybe starting around 1645 with the rise of Shivaji, what do you think?

With some darker shading these would pass for early Sikh peasant skirmishers.
But I'm pretty sure Third Age guys can lend us these for editing a bit.

This seems fine for the Huzarat, but I think this had already been used in the Rajput rosters.

What if we give Rajputs the barded horse, while giving the Deccanis the unarmored horse for this?

I think we'll have to model the Sikhs. No way round it I think.

Lets wait for KingKorgoth to finish the 1st campaign, then we'll think of finding a modelling expert for Sikh units.

This is exactly what we need, especially the more unique subcontinental units like the Sikhs, Nagas and the Marathas. Thank you so much, we were absolutely ignorant about this mod.

Welcome.
The mod team that made this is dead to my knowledge, and their actual release is locked. However, the assets are not and I've uploaded it in a mediafire link somewhere in that thread.

Whoa!! even the mughal musketeers are accurate....they seem to be carrying a protective mantlet like the one at panipat....the musket units are a breath of fresh air and there's some variety, there are heavy gunners also......the mughal infantry and cavalry units are very similar to the ones from miniature paintings that i've seen......this is amazing!!.....even the elephant units are well done....now we need not use those overgrown timurid elephants that look totally out of place......the variety and artwork here is stunning....i never knew someone even cared to do something like this for an asian campaign.....how did something like this never materialise??

I just play tested the mod. Looks good, especially the models. Though some units look a bit too clone like (not enough face variations). However, with helmet and and all, overall they are quite good. Also the amount of detail and model shapes look out of newer total wars, they definitely will make the other models look outdated.

All said, this is a great source.

There are multiple versions.

Mediafire.com

^ This one has assets but the mod is not launchable.

The other one that huzurat downloaded is playable but has less content I think....? I don't recall there being an India in 0.8

I see. The one I ran had the Mughals and the Marathas. But I'll check this other also. However, it is all a it confusing to navigate as it is in Chinese.

That's strange. I thought any copy of the mod with Mughals and Marathas was locked. Can you show me a screenshot of which one you downloaded and what it looks like on your end???

This mediafire file is not working. Any other mirror? Btw is the launch issue due to error or has it been locked away by the developer.

Mediafile link is working on my end. 8 gb download. Unzip.

And it's not supposed to be launchable because the developer locked it away until they get paid. But their website is dead so the mod is dead with no way to unlock...

I'm trying it, but whenever I click download, the site crashes with a message that site can't provide a secure connection.

Any idea what to do?

Sorry to say but its not downloading. Simply not moving. Maybe KingKorgoth and KrishCN can check.

Though from my build, all the Mughal units were quite good. Maratha Silahdar cavalry was very accurate, though light cavalry wasn't. I don't what else is there in new version.

Can you post some Maratha (Just the Light cavalry unit) and Mysore units (Just the Light cavalry and Musketeers), and any Mughal unit cards that they may have added. I'm sorry to have to ask you, and I know this is tedious.

I think it might be better to look through the twcenter thread I have for unit cards. I don't have time to upload the actual unit cards

It would appear the old version has more factions than the newer one they uploaded....it's so weird lol

KingKorgoth Why not use this for Elite Rajput Heavy Cavalry:

Honga.net

You can find it in the Broken Crescent 6.3/6.4 mod under the Chauhan Rajput faction.

That should work! What colors should we use for Hada/Rathore/Sisodiya?

Reply Good karma+1 vote

Difficult to say. Both Sissodiya and Rathore used Saffron primarily. The Rathore Horsemen were famously called 'Zard Kaprewallas' (Saffron Clad).

However, for the game's requirement, I would let us use Golden Yellow for Mewar and Bright Red or Deep Saffron/Orange for Marwar. For minor clan contingents like those of Hadas of Bundi or Rathores of Merta (not to be confused with those of Marwar) I suppose they may use any color but not Green.

That's their mail. Their sashes if you observe are mostly saffron.

Look here:
En.wikipedia.org

The Rajputs mostly adorned Saffron or Red. Both were holy colors for them.

ahright ok. good point. thanks for correcting me. Dont have much knowledge about the rajputs. Been to Udaipur once to visit the palaces and the hillfort there. I remember they were prety much covered in mail.
also the castle doors had long nails attached to them to prevent elephants were ramming the doors- not quite common in the south.

So the 8gb file had more content.....and it can't be unlocked???......what a shame.....is there no way to actually unlock it??.....there must be some way......were all the units in the images shown on thread available in the 0.8 version huzurat??

Well the Mughals and Marathas are there. Though in both factions, light cavalry is sort of missing (generic light horse archer cavalry and Sikh light cavalry for both).

Mysore is missing, I really wanted their lighter Palegara cavalry models.
