Renegade alpha was basicly the original Renegade (for those who don't know). It was being made by Westwood studios, after the time it had been taken over by EA. Westwoods game (now called renegade alpha) featured logan as Havoc, the story for alpha has logan being General Sheppards son and is rumored to have been partly about him trying to live up to his fathers name and prove his worth, but in the rengeade we got he only had the job of taking Havoc for a refresher course.
Renegade alpha had better graphics and a better hud system (which you can see in the renegade trailer), it also had a diffrent set of weapons. What happend to the game was EA rushed Westwood in making the game, but what i dont understand is why the game we got is so diffrent from the alpha version of the game.

Above was the second trailer, the game footage is still alpha but with havoc. i think the game itself was so bad looking after these two trailers and the beta that the third trailer was made using cut scenes and alpha footage.
I really cant see how it could have went wrong, like looking at the gdi troops, who had the bright idea to change them to the crap we have now!
So when the game was coming out i thought it was going to be like the second trailer, dont get me wrong i loved the game and still do but i felt like i had been lied to. It was disapointing...
Beta GDI soldiers look like actual soldiers, now the current GDI soldiers look like construction builders,
i know! they have messed up the guns as well, they where way better in the beta

Because he reckons the beta soldier might need a new model, or a totally new skin re-do
he said he would ask around to see if any one had made one, but if that fails i have another mate (who i know in RL), and he used to be big into moding renegade (he turned the hand of nod into an arm throwing a rugby ball it was awsome!) and i will ask him, i think i will see him tomoro.
