Post news RSS Release of Proof-of-Concept

The time has come where we have now decided to move the game to Unity and work on a scratch build. To give everyone a small taste of what we've been working on, we have decided to release our proof-of-concept build. Attached is also a video of a very basic player controller and UI that our programmer wrote in a night.

IGNORE THE MUSIC (our mistake)

Step 1 (Installing Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer)
Go to Steam, press on the label "Library" and select the "Tools" button and scroll down to where it says "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer" and install it to the same drive you will be installing the mod on.

Step 2 (Installing the mod framework and base maps)
Download: Drive.google.com
If "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer" is installed on C: drive, the location you would need to extract this zip to would be `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods\`

To Create a Server
Steam -> Library -> Velocity Brawl -> Launch Game -> Create Server -> "Start" -> `Esc` -> Options -> Under keyboard options tab: `Advanced` -> Enable Developer Console -> `~` -> In console write: `sv_lan 0` -> In console write: `changelevel vb_cliff`

To Join a Server
Steam -> Library -> Velocity Brawl -> Launch Game -> Options -> Under keyboard options tab: `Advanced` -> Enable Developer Console -> `~` -> In console write `connect [HOST'S IPv4 ADDRESS FROM HAMACHI]` -> Press `ENTER`

NOTE: USE HAMACHI FOR THIS. MAKE SURE TO ALL BE IN THE SAME SERVER
