Hello everyone!

I know I haven't been posting updates, and for that I apologize. The truth is, I haven't had much time to work on Mea Culpa recently, as my work schedule has been rather busy.

However! I am currently working on the 5th map of the story, which is technically the third, since two of the maps are extras (one secret map, one "choice" map).

I would like to briefly go into my plans for the choice system that will be implemented in Mea Culpa. In a nutshell, there will be moments throughout the story where you will be forced to make a choice. There will almost always be only 2, but if I feel like getting more complex with it, perhaps 3 or 4. Making a decision will affect future gameplay moments. For example (note that this may or may not be in the story, it is merely an example), let's say you are forced to choose between giving a man a bottle of wine, or breaking the bottle. If you give him the wine, well, you're a very nice person! Maybe things won't be so bad for you later. Karma will see to it you get your just reward. If you break the bottle, well, that's kind of a dick move, and the forces that be will surely attempt to smite you for it.

Long story short, making choices will alter events in the rest of the game, and may make it harder, easier, scarier, less scary, or even just small things like some extra oil.

I will try to keep this page updated, and hopefully I will find some more time to get some real progress made in the coming days.
