April has been a hectic month for us, we are getting ready for early access on steam, and so the team has been ground pounding to get everything squared away for that! We do want to get the game into your hands as soon as we can, but with that we want it to be the best game we can offer you at this stage.
Today we are going to share with you some of our progress; we have a trailer ready for steam as well as a new dungeon to show off to you!
- New Trailer
- Early Access Release
- New Dungeon Type
- Streamer Program
We needed to create a new trailer for the store page that included the new gameplay, and this will be the video we will have on the steam page, so you are getting a first look at the new video before we add it to the page. We hope you enjoy it! Let us know what you think.
We are working on getting a fixed date for release but because we are new to steam there is many things that are new to us and the date even to us is a moving target. As soon as we have something set in stone though you all will be the first to know!
The good news is that our build is indeed ready, so it's only a matter of paperwork. We still will be working on the game mainly focusing on finding all the hidden bugs (no this is not a steam achievement, but we are working just as hard to clear it!) and balance the progression, so that everyone can have an enjoyable experience in the game
The newest dungeon in our lineup that you can explore is the "Halls of torture", which as you can judge by the name is not a place any adventurer wants to be for long. It is found in the Fir Forest (Medieval sub-biome), so you will have access to it in the Early Access version.
Here are a couple of screenshots from the dungeon:
We still have our streamer program open for new and old streamers alike, for those who took part in the program we gave over 114 keys away, had 1831 viewers watch the game during the streamer beta, and just under 250hours watched.
If you want to take part, you can sign up now, and we will work with you to promote your channel with: shoutouts, overlays, games with the developers, and featured in our newsletters. If you're still on the fence, please check out our post about it in detail here: DDD #19 on IndieDB
