I will be adding another faction in beta 0.75, so i am opening a vote. Factions that can be added are : - Harad, easiest to make, will have men of Harad and Rhun. - The Deep, easy to make, will have Bolg son of Azog, Ghurzog and Azog as heroes, with buildings will be from BFME 2. -Erebor, not so easy to make, but i will do my best, will have Dwarfs or Erebor and Iron Hills in their ranks, with BFME 2 buildings mainly. -Arnor, hardest to make, especially the buildings, Men of Arnor and Dunedain.

- Harad, easiest to make, will have men of Harad and Rhun, with BFME 2 buildings, I saw a lot of Harad and Rhun buildings that are unused.
- The Deep, easy to make, will have Bolg son of Azog, Ghurzog and Azog as heroes, with buildings from BFME 2.
- Erebor, not so easy to make, but i will do my best, will have Dwarfs or Erebor and Iron Hills in their ranks, with BFME 2 buildings mainly.
- Arnor, hardest to make, especially the buildings, Men of Arnor and Dunedain. Heroes from BFME 2, but i will remake their abilities.
- Shire, easy to make, but i dont know if Lauri will allow me to use his Hobbits from Scouring of the Shire, Hobbits of the Shire and Dunedain as elite units, with Merry, Pippin, Sam and Frodo as heroes, but i will add more heroes like Bilbo Baggins later.

Vote here by posting comments on this page. Vote ends on Sunday. New version will be released as soon as the new faction is done, which is depending on your vote.

BFME 2 models don't work in BFME 1 though ...

I already added Green Pasture for the Elves, and i saw BFME 2 models in Best Of mod :P.

But it's also illegal :/ XD, well as EA said. I can't remember where it had that, somewhere on Revora. EA hasn't forgotten about BFME FYI :P.

It's still a risk, they say EA's forgotten about the game, but I think they haven't :P. Still the anims in BFEM 2 models don't work, since modders have tried before, but the models themselves will open ... but do nothing i guess ?

But, how will it look without anims ?
P.S. Personally i just find the idea of using the BFME 2 buildings :
1.) Lacks creativity from the modder
2.) All the new models for BFME 2 are just plain cartoony and out of proportion :P
Of course I mean no offense, it's just my personal thought :).

well...i don´t know nothing about 3d modeling but i think some models work also in bfme1... for example i added lorien archers and mirkwood archers or dragons to bfme1 from bfme2 and it works.. but there are some problems.. the lorien archers have heavy armour upgrade in bfme 2,that change their texture, and i don´t know if this is possible with their model in bfme1..
and for buildings...the most buildings from bfme2 are invisible in bfme1..and i don´t know if is possible to overcome this problem

I don't understand your problem with the lorien archers ? could you explain that better ?

i don´t know if i can...but i try...
simply, you make a codding of lorien archer, give him heavy armour upgrade, but in game... you buy heavy armour, upgrade the battalion, but the texture of models is the same like before.. so you can´t see if the battalion is with heavy armour or not... i don´t know if problem is in codding or in model...
also when you open model of lorien arch. in assetbuilder, the heavy armour texture is not to see...

I think it is or an asset error or a problem in the coding. Check if you added the texture changing code. I always use an existing unit when i add new units and only change the model and animations :P.

Since you added the elves, I think you should add The Deep. 1° To equilibrate the number of factions of good and evil. 2° And to have an exclusive elven (or dwarven after)enemy. Then you should add the dwarves to complete the North. I suggest to use The Shire as a minifaction for Arnor.

But that's Rhun :P. Alatar and Pallando went to Rhun to assist the Revolting tribes (that were against Sauron) there...

So its Harad: 3, The Deep:1, Erebor:1 and Shire:1. Also I have found replacement for the BFME 2 models, and these are a lot better.
