Need your help with the Cyborg Commando and Mastadon

Some people asked me to add or replace more units in the mod/patch such as the NOD's Cyborg Commando from C&C4; to replace the female commando (only In MOK) (pic below)

KW SDK don't seem to get along with other games 3D models unless they been moded for KW so I usually can't add anything that I want even if I wish since I don't have the knowledge of how to edit them to work with KW's SDK (if someone know and willing to help me / teach me how to edit them it will be great!)

But I probably will be able to add the Cyborg Commando and Mastadon to the game

the real question is why?

there's balance to keep at this game even though it big-ben patch/mod I don't really want to stray from the path and change the whole game to the point it will feel like another mod

So I want your opinion in this yet again ^_*

What to do with the Cyborg Commando?

1. Don't add it

2. Add it only to MOK to replace the stealth female commando

3. Add it only to MOK secret shrine so we will have both commando
(need to see if the SDK will let me do it btw ;) )

4. Replace all Nod's commandos with the Cyborg Commando (ha?!, just to notice, in my mod the female commando is permanently stealth as long as she don't shot or C4 anything)

5. Your own idea?


What to do with the Mastadon ?

1. Don't add it D: !

2. Add it only to ST to replace the Marv
(take a note that the MARV is GDI's only way to get more funds unlike Nod's and Scrin's who have special power for it)

3. Add it only to ST but make it a special power that will make the Mastadon to destroy and appear at the Marv's facility so we will have both epic units :D
(need to see if the SDK will let me do it btw ;) )

4. Add it as normal unit in the ST army
(note that ST have more ground units than any other GDI army and their mammoths have the anti emp armor only in ST... so replacing it with Mastadon will be weird)

5. Add it to any GDI faction (ah? :O )

You can always give me new ideas and tell me what you prefer from the ones I presented

Simply commit and let me know what you think is best, if there's no commit then I will have to do what I think to be best until my beta will be released

I think these would need a pretty significant overhaul to make up for the change in aesthetic between C&C 3 and 4.
1 and 1 if only because the models and textures are a bit too... Buzz Lightyear.

Actually, I should note that if you're up to the task of making them fit in with the rest of the art, my votes would be:
3 (Cyborg Commando has always been a heavy shock unit, and thus fills a different role than Nod's Commando)
and

I've saw the Cyborg Commando in other mods and it seem pretty much alright (maybe they shrink it?) and fit to the game, the Mastodon on the other hand seem different from the pictures at least (need to see it with my eyes in the game)

I think replacing ST's Mammoth with Mastadon makes sense (no. 4).

From my understanding, ST makes use of TWII units and improves upon them, like the Titan and Wolverine. It makes sense to have an improved Quad-walker mammoth that is cost effective enough for mass deployment. Of course, its stats and cost should be balanced.

It would seem that rail-gun is the only option for this model. Can't use sonics as in Twilight or cannons (there is no barrel!). So it is basically a Mammoth MKIII with legs and with built-in rail gun. It can still feature adaptive armor as an upgrade, if you simply replace ST's Mammoth, isn't it?

As for the cyborg commando, I vote for no. 3.

I have never played Twilight before. When I first saw this unit, I thought it has a jetpack but in fact it doesn't. Personally, I find this design weird if it can't fly. What do you propose to justify its wing-like build? How about give the commando two upgrades. Player can choose one on the field between a stealth generator and a jetpack? I know jumpjet is GDI's stuff. But jumpjet is quite a low-tech thing in this universe.

The 'wings' were put in simply to achieve an aesthetic, I believe it's used on any unit with a laser weapon to refer to the obelisk. in Twilight, the Cyborg Commando has a 'terminator mode' when it's destroyed that allows it to capture a vehicle.

cyborg = 2

about the cyborg model, why dont you choose tiberian twilight Enlightened model?
they looks quite good to be a commando

I done some test and it seem I probably won't be able to add the cyborg commando at all since KW's SDK don't seem to work with any other C&C models unless they are edited for it :(

the KW section had c&c4; cyborg commando models (which I already had before) but I thought that they were edited for KW SDK like the mastodon model (which was edited to work with KW)

but it appear that the user who upload them just upload raw files...

I tried many tests and nothing worked, and it don't seem that anyone know how to edit the files for KW's SDK, or have time to help me out :/

I will try more stuff but I many need to either ditch the Commando or just make new one based on the KW Enlightened models... which is probably something many don't want

well...if you managed to make the model bigger and retexture it to make it looks badass, people will not complaint much :)
