There are two new broad battery types introduced in the mod.
Carronade types deal 50% more damage but have only 50% range. Typically 4,5k range for cruisers and battlecruisers, and 9k range for grand cruisers and battleships.
Armour Piercing types deal the same damage as the long range, weaker damage plasma variants, but instead of a range increase, they reduce the armour by -25 like lances.
Imperials currently have 4+1 types:
Mezoa pattern: Cruiser carronade damage, 4,5k range. On Ambition and Chalice
Stygies pattern: Cruiser AP damage, 13,5k range. On Implacable
Heavy Mezoa pattern: Battleship carronade damage, 9k range. On Reprisal.
Heavy Stygies pattern: Battleship Ap damage, 18k range. On Terra.
Avenger: cruiser carronade damage, 9k range, hybrid battery on the Avenger.
Chaos has 4+1 as well:
Devastator pattern: Cruiser carronade damage, 4,5k range. On Killfrenzy and Cocytus.
Hellmetal pattern: Cruiser AP damage, 13,5k range. On Emasculator and Lethe.
Heavy Devastator pattern: Battleship carronade damage, 9k range. On Blasphemer and Warmaster.
Heavy Hellmetal pattern: Battleship Ap damage, 18k range. On Torment and Repressor.
Plague: cruiser carronade damage, 9k range, hybrid battery on the Solace.
Transuranic battery: AP type 18k strike cruiser gun, 75% damage. On lance and nova Strike cruiser.
Heavy Transuranic battery: AP type 18k, battleship gun, 80% damage. On Nova battlebarge, Alcazar.
Bombardment battery: Carronade type 9k, battleship gun, 150% damage, on Basileus BB (extra hangar one)
Transuranic battery (AM): Ap type, 18k, 50% longer reload and more damage, on Secutor cruiser.
Transuranic battery (SM): AP type 18k strike cruiser gun, 75% damage. On lance AM Strike cruiser.
Heavy Transuranic battery(SM): AP type 18k, battleship gun, 80% damage. On AM lance battlebarge,
Heavy Transuranic battery (AM): AP type 18k, 50% longer reload and more damage. On Ark Ordinatus.
But this is not all. There are also special batteries!
Prow Missile Batteries are used by Adeptus Astartes and Mechanicus vessels to provide firepower when closing with the target. These are accurate and deadly weapons, but somewhat slow firing. Like all SM and AM weapons, these have better accuracy now.
Laser batteries (Currently using lance models due to technical issues, not sure we can fix that) are like lances that do not penetrate armour but deal more damage. These are on the Mercury and the Invincible.
Revenge Light macrocannons are used on the Revenge Grand Cruiser and Duke Cruiser. These are a faster firing, 18k range variants of the Dauntless macrobattery that excel at shooting fast moving small targets. The Battlebarges also sport these as secondary weapons. They have better accuracy.
Apocalypse Lances are a shorter ranged, heavier damage dealing lance variant.
Imperial Battleships now also have Double Lances, an old unused weapon that fires twice as much.
Nemesis IN carrier battleship has dorsal mounted, even more powerful Mechanicus grade lances.
And last but not least, or I get krumped, the Orks have gotten their hands on some nice loot. Hammer Smakas now sport Tau Ion cannons looted from the greyskins while their Slamblasta battleship has a prow mounted SM heavy lance artillery and broadside battlecruiser lances.
