Here's the development snapshot of week 6, 2012! List of changes:
-Many minor bug fixes and tweaks
-Doors have been changed to properly detect if they are open or closed. Double doors in existing maps will need to be updated
-Villagers will move indoors during night and rain, and socialize with each other
-Zombies will break down wooden doors on hard difficulty
-Added cat sounds
-Better movement for mobs in water
-Added rare mob item drops

yes. these are just development versions. like alpha testing.
Well, I wish I knew what these rare mod drops could be...
Little stuff, like Skeletons drop bows, Pigmen drop gold ingots and swords, Zombies drop iron gear
Creepers and Endermen just drop their typical crap

it's notable, this makes Iron renewable now.
damn it. wouldve assumed endermen would rarely drop ender eyes while creepers would drop tnt? and maybe ghasts too, cause they drop gunpowder.

Villagers can use doors.
Villagers go into houses at night.
Zombies spawn at night.
Zombies now chase the villagers.
Zombies can now break down wooden doors on Hard.
NOPE! I don't see any problems here trying to save a village's populace on hard...
