The Duchy of (Upper) Lorraine
The duchy of Lorraine evolved out of the Carolingian kingdom of Lotharingia. In 975, the kingdom was divided into the duchies of Upper Lorraine and Lower Lorraine. The area that formed Lower Lorraine was passed to the dukes of Brabant in 1100. They ceased to use the duchy's title ('Lothier') in 1190, so Lower Lorraine ceased to exist as a separate entity. Upper Lorraine was the sole surviving bearer of the name, and after 1190 it dropped the prefix of 'upper', becoming the sole duchy of Lorraine. Lorraine is the border duchy of the HRE, bordering the Burgundy to the west, with the HRE to the duchy's east. Because of this, I have units using French, German, and in tier three mostly, Alsatian (the prevalent language of Lorraine at the time) to show how Lorraine was influenced by varying cultures on all sides.

I would like to personally thank slytacular for his council, guidance, and advise on the Lorraine. I would also like to thank Luke George of Bologna for helping out with research of names and other general history questions, and Ltd. for his help with the different parts of the faction-making process.
Any feedback or suggestions are always appreciated!
looks good.
So the Kurzschwertreiter do not kurzschwert (totally not a made-up verb), they have a short spear instead of a short sword. Just a little odd to me as a German.
Hum, i'm lorrain, i live in Lorraine and i'm historian...and my reaction is : WTF ?
Edith : If you need some good stuff and suggestion, i'm here. i've all the information you need for the Lorraine at this time.
If you want to advise Lorraine's roster developer so Lorraine can be better represented, you can write in here:

This is really cool.
Remove "dismounted" versions of units, it is stupid cuz we can dismount original units.
The AI can't.
Please don't stop what you are doing! All of this is great
Great work! Can't wait to play the Grand Campaign when it comes out.
