I would like start this update by asking for any talented people that would like to help develop The Third Reich to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org . We are taking applications in almost all areas:
On with the news. I bet you've all been axiously awaiting news regarding The Third Reich. Truth is, things are hectic now that we're coming very close to a release (only 30 days left at most!) and i haven't come around to writing updates.
So what are we still working on? Everything looks pretty amazing in the screenshots ...
You may or may not have picked up rumours about a The Third Reich trailer. To avoid further questions and speculation about this subject, i can confirm that we are indeed feverishly working closely together with our test team to bring you a jaw-dropping teaser/trailer of The Third Reich.
There has also been a lot of questions and requests regarding Omaha beach. We feel the engine is not capable of portraying a realistic beach landing like Omaha. However due to popular demand and Angelhearts generous permission we have ported over his UT map RealAssault and re-named it The Longest Day. Furthermore we would also like to thank William Islington Sherriff for letting us use his tree pack.
This once more proves how much we value and feed on input form our community. You can enjoy the results below.
On further mapping news, those that visit the site regularly will know that in the previous update we introduced you to a map called TTR-Radar. Now that this beauty is finished, we feel it would be sacraligious not to reveal some more of it.
So check out the screenshots below to get a feel of the map.
Some people from our very own TTR community haven taken some initiative and started the first TTR fan site ( Thirdreichmod.de.vu ) The page is available in both German and English and features German TTR forums ( Modguide.de )
We shall provide this site with exclusive news, info and media regarding The Third Reich. First thing on the yet to-do list of this fan site are interviews with people on the TTR test team to get their opinion on The Third Reich.
So go on over there and see some exlcusive shots that aren't listed on the official site!
Due to the populatiry of the pics showing how and where we get all the info on our weapons, here are some more. Below you can see our weapons expert at the nationals firing the springfield and garand rifles. How's that for authenticity and research?
Wednesday we shall start a series of biweekly updates (read: 2 updates a week) where we shall introduce you to The Third Reich maps.
What does this mean? You will discuss the maps in detail with lots of screenshots, background information and explanation of objectives.
Members of our community have also brought to our attention that The Third Reich is featured in a couple of gaming magazines like PC Zone Benelux and PC Powerplay. Since i don't own a scanner, you will have to wait untill next update (wednesday) to read what they have to say about The Third Reich.
Untill wednesday, el_spunger
