The Mass Effect Chronicles - or MEC for short - is a free-to download 2D RPG fan-game set in the ME-universe (created by BioWare). The game is being created using Enterbrains' RPGMaker XP.
Story
The Normandy is destroyed and Commander Shepard is assumed to be 'killed in action'. The devastating news is soon forgotten as you are swept up in the events that follow. Engage in battle against yet unknown forces or simply try to do your best to stay alive through it all, it's up to you now. Recruit a team to stand by your side as you explore the galaxy and unravel the mysteries that lie ahead.

aww man couldnt you guys use tanaka`s side battle system i mean the animations would be awsome but still good work the effort was well worth it ;D
The reason we aren't using the side-view system is simple. I like the front view, it works perfectly with one of my favorite scripts, and while animated battlers would be amazing, it just isn't practical if we want to finish this game any time soon.
Future games may include a side-view system, but for this one, I'd rather not concern myself with it.
