So the Hub 1 is more or less ready. These last few weeks I was trying to address some remaining bugs, but somewhat unsuccessfully. If anyone with some coding skills and Hexen 2/Quake logic reads this and would lend me his skills, I would really appreciate that, it would allow me to finish this as soon as possible.

You might have more luck asking on Quaddicted, or Quake Mapping on Discord. I hope you're able to find someone that knows their onions on this.

Unfortunately, I had no luck on Discord. While Quake is flourishing there, everybody seems to avoid Hexen 2.

That's really sad. There is actually no one else who is currently making a mod for Hexen II, especially of that magnitude. I would love to help, but unfortunately these kind of things are out of my league. I only mod Hexen-1 and avoid programming bits cause i know nothing about it. But you do have my support as a fellow Hexen mod-maker.
Hexen II is my favorite, and a top 3rd game of all time. So i've been following your project for as long as it's here. Obviously.
Don't give up hope, i know vaguely that there are several Russian mod/engine developers that work with Hexen II, and they do have a sort of community or something. Maybe you can get in touch with them and get help there.

Thanks hexenstar. Actually, if you would like, you can playtest it. It's hard to set the difficulty right for map creator, so that would certainly help. What do you say?

I only know of Jeank and his jsHexen2. While I was in contact with him and he shared plans to continue with upgrading, he abandoned the project years back, at least I haven't heard from him since then.

Yeah, i know from similar experience that these things do happen. Some people show great enthusiasm at step one, but then it fizzles out surprisingly quickly. I managed to track down that Russian website, unfortunately - it is not in English and at least judging by the dates on the posts - it's mostly dead.
But i've seen that hexenworld forums are still active. And i am pretty sure that the folks who made Hammer of Thyrion (my Hexen II engine of choice!) would know a thing or two about the technical side of the game and its programming. You could try in those directions.

Now, as for playtesting...i'd be honored! To help an actual Hexen II mod that de facto has more Hexen in it - it's god's work, no less. I wanted to do some Hexen II editing ages ago (to fix the handful few of its imperfections and extend it further), but the fates would not have it so and i ended up doing it all for Hexen 1 (where the imperfections are the extreme opposite of "few"). Hexen II always was and is my main inspiration in modding as i constantly try to emulate it and surpass my favorite aspects of it. It would be an honor.
Just don't tell me that i need Windows-10 for it, cause i don't do Windows-10, lol.

So if we do this, i'll need more details as to what do you want me to do with the game, in terms of playtesting. I am very comfortable with the vanilla Hexen II gameplay, as i know the game and its mechanics well. But outside of the original, - i can't guarantee being an expert, technically speaking :-).
If that's good enough for you - then i am on board by all means.
