I won't be able to work on the MOD for the upcoming two weeks, because of 'reasons', so it's just another 'inbetweener' update today. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy these updates!
While working on enriching the new 'Forget about Freeman' chapter, I also play catch-up on older chapters. For instance, you'll be able to enjoy 'We've got Hostiles' with full support for detail textures in the upcoming alpha build!
In my last media update I've shown you plenty of updated items and weapons, but I've also taken on the challenge of upgrading various monster and NPC models. All these new models will receive higher resolution textures, reworked UV maps and more polies to give them a fresh look without straying too far from the original feeling.
I'm also making new variants of the Black Mesa staff, such as these new Barney skins. The Scientist have also received an update and got more variations with or without glasses. You'll finally be able to see what the first scientist variants' eyes look like!
I'm planning to make more variants if time allows me to. It would also be great to have female variants but that would require some outside help with new female dialogue. Feel free to message me if you're able to assist in this task!
Lastly, if you haven't checked this MODDB page in a while, you'll notice that I've updated the design to reflect my MOD's style. It's pretty amazing how much you can do with a few simple changes to the CSS. I hope you all like this new look. Thanks for checking out today's update and I hope to see you all soon for the next build!
Cool'
Looks Cool, i hope the weapon models will be updated
Keep it up!
I love seeing the original character models keeping the original style like that but higher resolution. I hope the wall chargers get the same treatment!
You've been making great progress so far, take as long as you need for those "reasons"! ;)
Thanks! Primary reason for not working on it is because I'm on holiday! :)
I've updated the wall chargers but they are still made of world geometry. I found that many chargers are in poorly lit places, so models will not always look properly
