Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.
Today we are showing off the final map that will feature in the upcoming version 2.5, the veteran Seelow Heights. But first, we'd like to thank everyone that has voted us into the Top 100 of this year's ModDB Mod of the Year awards. If you'd like to vote for us in the second round, click the image below:
Many of you will remember the Seelow Heights map in Forgotten Hope and might notice a few similarities between the old and new. That is because Schism, Stubbfan and Ts4EVER based this latest incarnation on the previous work of Turbo_tiger. Of course, you don't need to have played Forgotten Hope to recognise this map! Viewers of our recent devstream got a sneak peak at the map, along with some of its content, history and gameplay. Check it out again here.
After more than 5 years of fighting, the Second World War is drawing to a close. Only one major obstacle stands between the Red Army and their ultimate prize: the capital of Germany, Berlin.
The remnants of the once mighty Wehrmacht are digging in on the Seelow Heights, a commanding terrain feature overlooking the flat Oder river plains, muddy and flooded in this cold, wet spring. The battle opens to the thunder of 20000 guns pounding the German positions.
You can find the minimap and a preliminary vehicle listing here.
That's all for today, but be sure to come back next time for another update. Until then, feel free to visit our IRC channel, our public forums, and/or our Twitter and Facebook pages to discuss this update and other news.
Good work!
damn it I thought the russians were cming :(
And what implied the opposite? They are coming, this map here has them attacking the germans....
Or sarcasm?
I meant it because of the new patch not because of the map xD
Looks Like Call Of Duty 5 Their Land, THeir Blood
I'd love to play this mod ... if only there were a torrent :-(
The installer is torrent based. So if you install that, it will download the files using torret protocol.
Well I tried it, but it was very slow so I gave up. It'd be nice to have the choice, but perhaps I'll try the installer again.
Thanks :-)
Nice little reference with the article title there

What I don't like is being forced to use different controls for infantry and vehicles. Vanilla allows you to have same controls mapped in "Common", like forward, backward, left/right as in "Land Vehicles", but it won't allow me to do this in FH2. They seem to default at ASWD but don't allow changing.
