We've been hard at work prepping for our upcoming Kickstarter in early March and we wanted to show you the first glimpse at Archery and wolf combat in Rise of the King. It's still very much in a pre-alpha state with improvements coming to both animation and balance but its really fun already and solid!
Our combat system is designed around knowing when to strike, Dodge, and counter while managing your stamina and positional awareness. (Animals can take you down if they get your back). The aim is to create a more difficult tense feel for combat. We want players to fear it more than casually treat as many other Medieval fantasy games. You can die at anytime in RIse of the King if you're caught off guard and not prepared. We'll have more cool things to show in the coming weeks but we hope you dig this first look at gameplay as we show you a glimpse at the Dire wolves.
