Post newsRSSFalling from a sky near you - Space marine Drop Pods
A Couple of updates from the battlefield 40k team Alan has been hard at the space marine drop pod, and the dreadnought drop pod. Resin and Kent have been working hard over the past week on the Cadian Imperial Guard infantry. Incase anyone missed the preview vid in the last news update Low Resolution
The magazine release date was pulled from the profile as the magazine had to pull the mod from the cover disk due to legal reasons.
Games workshop is ok in people developing modifications based upon their franchise and Intellectual property so long as its for non profit purposes.
The deal we had with the magazine is that they wanted to distribute the mod on a cover disk. The modification would then therefore contribute to the sales of their magazine in theory and violate the I.P. law and the magazine would or could get sued. We do not recieve or want any money from the sales of the magazine.
Alan has been trying to email and phone games workshops legal department for special permission to allow us to put it on the magazine. However we have not heard from them. So the magazine had to pull it.
