Dixie Ball 2.4 Update:
Our team has had the nagging feeling that the game is too empty, that there’s not enough things for the player to do or reason to explore the map. The beginning of our remedy to this was the dialogue system in the 2.3 update, which gave some personality to Lee and helped the player. This time around we have rolled out a bury the dead system. Throughout the map you’ll find the graves and bodies of various soldiers. You’ll have the opportunity to pay your respects to the dead and give them a proper burial. We hope this new feature will help to hit home the tragedy of the civil war, which killed over 600,000 Americans.
We are also changing to a quarterly release schedule. We tried to get updates out to you every month, this has proven very difficult for our team to do while creating meaningful content. As always, we remain dedicated to keeping Dixie Ball a free and open source project, and hope to provide you with many more quality updates in the future.
