Greetings, everyone, and welcome to our second development blog for the new Red Wars 2. In this blog we will be showcasing one of the notorious faction of Red Wars, the Swadian Reich. We will be going over the faction's lore, playstyle, troops, and more.
Decades ago Swadia was once the seat of the Calradic Empire, it is now a nation stricken by societal decay. The people plagued by starvation, aristocrats have been reduced to beggars and ineffective foreign intervention only spurs further resentment towards the outsiders whom are blamed for the current state of Calradia. A people tortured with anguish and hatred seek not the guidance of their kings who are merely puppets of foreign empires, but that of revolutionaries; Proponents of national socialism and fascist ideologies. They spread their radical ideals, rouse the ire of the populace and openly battle against the defenceless and weak Swadian monarchy. Victorious this new Swadian regime brings food to the masses, hope to the downtrodden, and a lash to foreign interlopers. The Swadian heartlands remain from this day forth isolated, whilst the brutal fascist regime spreads its influence across Calradia.
The Swadian army fields a diverse mix of different troops focused around defence; regular infantry, marksmen, grenadiers, machinegunners, anti-personnel troopers, lancers and carabiniers can be found in their armies. Their specialization is explosives, fielding the feared "panzerjaegers", armed with high explosive anti-armour rockets which pack an incredible punch against clusters of infantry. Their mid-tier forces are equipped with obsolete grenades and SMGs as part of their standard combat equipment, giving them an explosive edge against their enemies. A frontal assault will be fatal.
The Swadians are surrounded by enemies: Nords, Vaegirs and Khergits all threaten Swadia, however in this time of war they have formed a strong alliance with their age old nemesis: The Rhodoks. The Swadian Empire is among the stronger factions in Calradia, matched only by the Vaegirs and Khergits in regards to power. The Swadian political system is dominated by a "revolutionary elite", a neo-aristocracy made of racially and ideologically pure national socialistic revolutionaries and Swadianschutztruppe paramilitarists, whom are generally confidants of and chosen by Chancellor Einrich Graf.
In the next blog we will be showcasing our friends in the north-east, the Vaegirs. Stay tuned.
Regards,
the Red Wars team.
Hello there, Death Korps of Krieg.
But where's trench clubs with razors?
Excellent blog, Red Wars Team!
HNNNNNGGGGGGG
Oh my god they look so good!
Can we Restore The Swadian Monarchy?
I would assume that would be the pretender? It would be interesting if there were more than one pretender, like a socialist, the Kaiser, etc..
The lore has developed into a very interesting direction.
Yes! I love this mod! Please release next update!
Badass.
It's like the Deathshead Hussars and Death Korps of Krieg combined.
I only have one word. YES.
Looks awesome, keep the great work, and ¿also there is a release date yet?
Cool! Also, the "blond-hair, blue-eye only" elite is straight from Hollywood, but since this is Calradia, not Europe, it doesn't matter.
Also, shame there won't be Sturmgewehrs, but oh well.
I have good ideas if you want to make Sarranids as well i can def be of help giving you ideas of what Arabs used to wear in ww2 contact me if youd like
Would be nice if they did arabian troops in british service
Im intersted by how you will do the "Swadianschutztruppe paramilitarists", I believe they will fit a role like the SA or SS-VT, right?
If so, I highly recommend making their uniforms nearly exact to those of the original SA, as most national socialist para-militarists arround the world (outside Germany), back then and even now, used that same style.
Also, just a personal opinion, but I would have inclined by older weapons, like MP28 and G98, remember this is supposed to be set in the very interesting Inter-War period, so no need to mimic WW2. Also don't go for stereotypical "Death Korps" thing.
Also would be much better if you had used decaled M16 helmets instead of M35, and the uniform be much like the Reichswehr's, or maybe even 1933 transitional. Plus then you could also have SS-style units (properly done). That would really give it the Inter-War vibe.
Will units wear stahlhelms without gas masks as well?
I hope so, so they don't become cliche nazis, "deathkorps" and that crap.

help, i'am with the last version of the mod, i can't take the swadian forts, my troops wont go trought the door or even try to break it, they stay at the walls right next to the door and act like they are charging
can i help?
Does this mean the MG-42 will be removed?
I highly ask you to make this new mode balanced.
like for example, starting in vaegir area with maximum difficulty was easy, the bandits are weak and offer very good loot.
also, I think that certain units are too weak and the units are unbalanced, some factions has very strong while another faction has very weak units (comparing same tier)
also, the overall equipment is unbalanced.
there is 1 op weapon (the sg) 1 op sniper rifle (winter sniper rifle) and one army rifle (the american one)
Do you know about those issues? Will you and how will you try to balance things in red wars2?
Red Wars 2 was made with balance as a priority, though some factions may have advantages over others, and vice versa.
Can't wait to fight against the Swadian Nazis. Long Live the Allies!
Is there any chance that you will make some Nazie-themed uniforms for the Swadian Reich? The Kaizerreich uniforms are cool, but it's the Hugo Boss & 'new' stahlhelm that creates the true Reich aestetics.
ah the supposed nazis in this mod does not look so baf
Hallo, if you need help with the translations of the Germans contact me and I can help. I speak German fluently and I can help you with that.
