Introducing a new enemey, Mentail, a mix up of the word Ailment.

Welcome to another dev diary for the upcoming rogue-lite game, Achaem! In this update, we're going to introduce an enemy you won't have seen before.

Meet Mentail, a mix up of the word Ailment.


Mentail can currently cast up to four debuffs on the player: Attack Drain, Weaken, Heavy, and Slow.

Let's have a look at them in action!

Attack Drain - this will make your Attack worthless! You do zero damage to all but Mentail, so get rid of it quick!


Weaken - this will reduce your Defence, giving you fewer hearts! Don't worry, once you beat or get out of Mentail's range, they'll return!


Heavy - this will make your arms feel heavy, reducing your Agility, your attack rate will be reduced significantly!


Slow - this will significantly reduce your Locomotion stat, meaning you run and dash much slower.
