Current Mod and Team State news

It's been a while since I'm the one who posted an article.

How are you guys doing now? It has been about 1 and a half (or maybe a third) years since I started this mod, and I'm glad it is still going well. It was never supposed to be a contender to the bigger RA3 mods out there. Still, many of you played this mod, tried it out, and liked it as it is. A lot of new and better RTS games have been out since, so maybe it's time to turn a new leaf and finish this mod for the last time...

Oh, who am I kidding. Of course not. This is the last of the latest C&C title that is still salvageable from its current state. Yes, I didn't like how C&C 4 turned out, mainly the story. And since it's unmodifiable (I think so), I'll stick with RA3. To end your impression that I'm giving my "closing of the mod" statement, this article is just a short update on the latest happenings.

Since most of the team is on leave and/or busy (including our main media officer, so I'm doing this,) the progress is currently slowed. In short, the mod is not dead. I'll be releasing 1.01c anytime soon, hoping before or within the first week of November (can't promise that though.) I'll keep the updates through screenshots or videos if I have the time. The mod page will have a new look to signal it. After 1.01c, balance will be looked into, and all can now comment and give opinions with the mod changes. New toys will be available for the commander for future updates, more info on that when we get into it and when we have a proper news article. We are still looking for new people who would like to lend a hand with the mod, in particular modelers, skinners, animators, and mappers.

P.S.: Seeing the new community patch changes, I might consider "updating" to it too.
P.P.S.: There's no way I'll put that April Fool's unit of an incredibly lame pun.
