Cold Ice Beta 4 is getting closer to release as we head into the holiday season. In the meantime, go ahead and download Beta 3. Now, let's check out this month's fresh features that will be included in Beta 4.
First, there are a lot of gameplay modes we like to include in Cold Ice Remastered. This month, we showcase the gameplay mode "Chilldemic."
This gameplay is a tribute to our love of Jabroni Brawl: Episode 3 (but in GoldSrc). We added Santa hats to skeletons, equipped them with chainsaws, and made them flaming hot. And yeah, if they frag you, you'll become infected.
The goal is to resist the skeletons and battle your way to survival. Avoid being fragged, and live within the time limit. And if you are the last survivor, dispatch all skeletons finally for good.
Next, we would like to showcase our following map reskin for Beta 4. We call this one "cold_base." It is a reskin of the classic Quake map, The Abandoned Base (DM3), by the legendary John Romero. Also, buy his new book, DOOM Guy: Life in First Person. It's good.
In cold_base, all the brushes and aesthetics are reskinned to icy perfection, all thanks to our contributor, AudioCraZ. And we will include this masterpiece in Beta 4.
