I have some good news and some bad news - the bad news is that because of my uni deadline, I only managed to complete half the intended level of Darkness, in the one month. The rest of the level will be completed over summer. The good news is that it is much scarier than the first level
This level continues the story of the first level, which left off John and Amy trapped inside a bomb shelter, trying to find their way back to the city. As part of my university studies, I have included in the zip folder a link to an Online Questionnaire. The questionnaire will help me in my studies and also help me make the map better, so please fill it in as it is only short. The level is much scarier, having stuck more to psychological stimuli, researching from experiments and other games, as well as the helpful feedback from those that played the first level, which is why the questionnaire feedback is important to me, to make the game scarier, so please find 5 mins after playing the game to fill out the questionnaire :D

Map Screenshots:
like before, i dont want to give too much away about the content of the mod, so here are a few teaser screenshots with some hidden surprises.
thank you to everyone that helped advising me in this map, and special thanks to Nerv3 for his extensive testing
Holy crap that looks creepy. I'll have to give this a download.
Ill have 2 dl, but im wonderin. DO I NEED LVL1 ????
no - this is a stand-alone level :D
why is this not compatible with crysis warhead? i felt like a child when i heard about this, but everything burst when it stopped working with warhead:S
crytek have not released the SDK for Warhead and so it will not work in Warhead
I will have to download it another day since i dont' have any underwear cleaned at the time being ;(
Looks scary as hell.
Needs so much polishing, but I'll admit, it scared the **** out of me. But still, it needs polish. So much..polish. I hate dollies...
after playing for a while, i dare to say two things:
1) godawful graphics... get some decent artists, they arent that rare, especially that cryengine 2 is the best engine gfx-wise at the moment and they can truly shine on it.
2) I WAS PERMANENTLY SCARED SHITLESS, and that happens very rarely, believe me
how it is that games with great gfx lack good atmosphere, and vice versa? ><
I think you said more than 2 things :P
I will comment on the Artist thing, as far as I know, it's a learning experience for the Author, and while it's not rare to find a decent artist, it IS rare to find a reliable one, when it comes to modding, it's probably best just to go at it alone unless there is some sort of necessity to have more than one person working on the project.
I'll download this and check it out shortly.
i should be getting a talented level mapper soon, so they will be really good at making the atmosphere better :P
glad to hear that it scared you :D
and i look forward to hearing Otreum's review :D
dont forget to fill out the short online questionnaire
Modding-planet.com
Thanks
and i am looking forward to playing it again!
nobody said that you have to work with one artist! and stick to each of them ><
