As I have highlighted in the title, there will be 3 blogs with different themes, I ElPollo315, I will create this blog by first presenting the RA1 Expansion.
What will we see here?
I will add new sub factions of Allies and Soviets, without interfering with those that already existed, as you know our RA1 is a mix between what OpenRA offers and the Original CNCs. That means that for example the Hind, the Flak Truck in the Soviet faction, and the APC in the allied faction are present, and more things that were already present for a long time.
But then you want to add each Country of RA1 with its own units, being something more similar to the subfactions of Zero Hour, I mean, each country was more OP with their respective themes, although also, other characteristics were added over time to the RA1 countries, It has also been chosen to be inspired by DTA and CA for new units, that if, avoiding using assets of said mods and only imitating similarities.
Another thing, several tanks or vehicles have been replaced by real WW2 counterparts depending on the faction, except the original factions.
Now if the subfactions
- England: espionage, and technology dedicated to tricking the enemy is the specialty of this faction, it has very cheap spies
- Germany: has more Chronoshift technology and large tanks capable of rivaling heavy vehicle factions, inspired by WW2 for excellent tanks
- France: it does not have good offensive units, everything is concentrated in defense, and a few camouflaged or deception units.
- USA: Focused on support, units can be purchased with very cheap shipping, it does not have too many specialties except for its much higher monetary income
- Russia: focused on improving its Tesla technology, makes it the most dangerous anti-tank faction
- Ukraine: uses explosives, and dangerous demolition vehicles, is often unstable when played against an AI and has great destructive abilities
- Iraq: polluting faction, uses experimental weapons to defeat its enemies, its main weapon is radiation, but it lacks very heavy units
Others Factions (Planned): This is not yet assigned to the standard factions, that is why it is classified as "other" because they do not fulfill the role of being Soviets or Allies.
- Japan: has very cheap airplanes, very light combat vehicles, and hovercraft vehicles to cross the water
- Ants: Plague faction that reproduces quickly, assets from Overpowered Mod will be used
I like the concepts proposed, I especially like that the USA uses a focus on logistics for its specialty, that aspect of ww2 was one of its great strengths and boons to the allies.(As well as them only supporting the European allies later in the war in the red alert timeline.) I would also find the ant faction fun to fight.
Are you the same Magpie tactics from the Dark Reign?
No
You better good japan faction aircraft accurate like this:

En.wikipedia.org
At least i know the japanese infantry look like:
Samurai Grenadier and Archer Omega [Yuriko Omega is Impossible for Psionic combat]
and guess the hovercraft vehicles look like:
Sudden Combat APC
Tsunami Tank
Battle Fortress [Size of giga fortress is impossible].
The Tsunami Tank cannot be possible in RA1, it is too futuristic, for this reason I will replace this tank with an equivalent hovercraft, something older than the tsunami
Well There is one amphibious tank
