Greetings all,
I have some great news from the PVK front! Valve has been very generous and helpful in allowing us access to the Steamworks technology, which we will be releasing 2.3 on.
Although there's no release date planned, this is great news for all of us. It will make updating the mod a breeze as well as allow us to implement a wonderful system of achievements. We've already got over a hundred achievements planned for 2.3 and will see even more as future patches release!
In other 2.3 news, we have successfully ported over to the Orange Box engine. There are still some tweaks to make in different areas, but the bugs have been squashed. So far the Orange Box engine has offered us a ton of new features, some of which include:
- Objective-Based Scoring
- Kill Assists
- New Particle System
- Expressions
and much, much more..
Another feature we've got implemented is Color Correction. In 2.3 when a player goes Berserk, holds the Grail, or is close to death, they will see the world in a new way. Examples are posted below:
Last but certainly not least, we have implemented the Gestir class for the Vikings. He'll be carrying around a Langseax, a Spear and Javelins. He's undergoing testing now and more information will be available to you in the future.
Keep an eye open for more news on 2.3. We've got tons of features planned, this is only the tip of the iceberg!

Best mod ever! All I can say is I don't really like the color correction for the grail, just looks kind of unpleasant; that's my only complaint.
Hooray for kill assists.
I really like the colour corretion thingy, fits the crazy gameplay.
