Hi Folks! Today we show you a gameplay montage showing 2, 3 and 4 player match in BTR tournament.
Videos was made from human vs human matches, and human vs npc.
We went in Beta the 31 of March and, among other things, major improvements you can see in this video are:
- Improved GetHit reaction time and hit logic ( rewritten from scratch )
- New combo system
- Custom special attacks for every fighter ( now each one of the 4 fighters showed has his unique combat style )
- New blood management
- Bullet time
- Motion Blur
- Completely new gui system
- Improved animations
- Improved NPC AI ( rewritten from scratch )
- new local multiplayer camera
- a lot of bugfixes.
- And more and more!
The group of fighters will increase up to 8 with 4 new fighters scheduled for this month. Each of them is of course available in two different liveries. Recall that the game provides local match up to 4 human players and online gameplay for up to 8 players simultaneously.
At the moment still do not know a release date, but we are confident in saying that in May 2011 could be a good candidate. Feel free, as usual, to criticize everything, mock our work, and spit in our eyes.
this game will be cool..will it have online gameplay.that'll be cool too..if its only 4 characters there will obviously need to be more.just sayini.and its cool
as he wrote, the character list will increase by 4 during this month.
This looks awesome
>mfw Kevin is here. HI KEVIN
Really interesting game! The graphics looks awesome and the fighting seems really fun. Very good work guys, I'll stay tuned.
Really cool idea.
But why Gamebryo? WHY?!
Hi rexflinter.
If you go in the game's page you'll find a detailed answer to your question.
Anyway one engine or another it's not a big difference on PC as long as performance are similar and project is modular ( our ragdoll based combat system and all animation assets are totally independent from rendering engine )
This looks good, there's a total of zero 3D fighting games on PC so Im looking forward to this one.
Will it feature online play?
Sure it will.
Up to 8 players simultaneously.
Is the ragdoll stuff going to be improved or not? As right now it looks utterly silly. Precanned animations would look better.
Hello.
The ragdoll are very stable and behave well in combat.
The effect is deliberately exaggerated only at Ko, to add a touch of irony to fight and entertain the players.
We know it's unrealistic ( as, i said is deliberately )
but we'll probe the mood of the community on this and if we meet several adverse judgments in this regard, we will then make ko realistic as the rest of the game.
Another option that we probably will consider is to make it configurable.
You could make the ragdoll freak out only with perfect KO's, it would make the victorious player feel like the Hulk.
Even with teams, when a player KOs the other player while having full health it should make the ragdoll go crazy.
While I know this is just a beta, wasn't it possible to make ragdoll animations that DONT make the character seem like he has some phsyical problems ? its emberessing >-<
I guess I'll add my voice to the ones saying 'I don't like the rag doll animations right now'. If having them fly all over the place was an option I could toggle on/off, then by all means go crazy with silly things I can configure.
Also, I haven't read anything from the team on this (unless I've missed it) but have you given any thought to implementing a character creator some time down the line?
I also like the idea of choosing what you want, you can even make some things unlockable, like the SUPER RAGDOLL FRENZY MODE!!!
You could add chalenges then, this is probably too much right now, but if you can add silly things for the lulz then go ahead, just dont force them on us.
looks fun , ill try this one out
