Sorry that it took me so long to show new footage and assets, but as always did get normal life in my way of modding, (this starts to get old news and therefore i will explain this better at the bottom).
Final Weapons;
Throughout the last 3 years of development i have been showing a lot of different weapons. As i always mentioned were these not the final weapon versions but just to test them and to have something else as the by now 'boring' original weapons, (just my personal opinion).
Here you can see a screenshot from each final weapon, (except the crowbar replacement, still not sure which one i will use as replacement for that but it probaly will be a wrench of some sort).
Josh C. Zemlinsky was a huge help with all weapons, from which some of them he made available to the mod, and others he changed the animations. Also did he make all ammo boxes and crates himself.
New Gordon model, (on the left);
New Level (19);
As you maybe have noticed is this new level filled with tons of new assets, as also will the other final 3 levels will be. They all come from the Start Trek mod, that was canceled about 2 years ago. I did get permission from the lead developer Captain Source to use all of them, for which i am still till this day very grateful. It would have been a real waste when they weren't used at all. Still, it was very hard to sit on them for 2+ years and not be able to use them right away. But i wanted to keep them till the very end of the mod, were the player goes out of space/into another dimension of some sort. At the same time, the first 2/3 of the mod is also already packed with tons of great assets. So it only would make things look weird when different styled of assets would have been used through another.
As i said on top, again normal life came between me and my modding and to not explain myself any further feels like a cheep excuse. Specially because again, the release date has moved further away. To many times i said this massive project would be released in 2+ months, just to delay it again with the same lame excuse; life get in my way. There fore i feel the necessity to really explain why this mod still hasn't been released. At the bottom you can read about that, should you not be interested in the back ground story but only in this mod then that is ok.
When will it then be released i hear you think, well, there is still a lot of stuff to do. I really do my best to get it out at the end of this year, (what is again, ... 2 months, i know). But it would be the perfect time to release a mod. Otherwise it will be somewere in January hopefully. That is all i can say for now. Its better to wait a bit more as to release a not really finished mod.

Thanks for your time reading this,

Good to hear you broke your addiction! Things can only improve from here. Bravo. And again, as most devs say these days, it'll be done when it's done. Take your time, refine and improve and we will enjoy it for lengths when it comes out. Good job!
Great work !
Sick! Can't wait till this goes out, i like the new Gordon model. Any idea when will this be released?
He said it should be sometime near the end of December.
Leon, I could never have guessed you were struggling with heroine addiction... I had lots of respect for you before, but now, knowing you overcame such an addiction makes me respect you even more. It is an incredibly strong thing to do, revealing such a closely guarded secret to the world. Singleplayer mapping was ultimately the lesser of two addictions, I suppose. 29 years is a very long time, much longer than I've even been alive for.
I'm looking forward to the completed project, but please, take your time with it. Take breaks when you feel like it, and don't let it take over your life. Always let yourself come before your project.
I wish you all the best, Leon.
Thank you all so much for the kind words.
It didn't take much strength to tell this secret here, i am always a "open book" to the people who i care about, (not sure if this is a well written English line, but in Dutch we mean with being a Open Book, that you have no secrets). My main fear was and still is how people will react on it here, because this is a modding site. On the other hand, like i said before. I really do feel the need to explain things about myself when again the release is delayed.
And K!K!, like LordXamot(Cavou) said, i explained that it is hard to predict the final release date but i work hard towards the end of December, or early January 2014.
Thanks guys, and glad you liked this new update!
Leon
Looks awesome! Other than... pp bizon with grenade launcher? You know the tube is the magazine right? :X
Ive been a fan of your mods way back on FC. As someone else said, it just makes me respect you more. Good for you for breaking free of the addiction.
You deserve respect. A long time ago I know your works (SoF,HL2,....). Good luck. I know my English is bad.
I have been following this mod for a while but would never had guessed any of this, I am glad that things are going better for you and that you will have a nice life.
I am also glad that this mod does not seem like it will be put down as many other mods which you can find on moddb.
I do not want provoke a discussion but I wonder how you started to mod despise all your difficulties.
I'm also glad that you broke your addiction.
(Almost forgot to say it)
I never knew you were afflicted with drug problems, and knowing you have overcome them after such a long time instills a lot of respect for your character. I have met folks who claim they can never quite only after a few years or months of use, let alone 29 years.
Best of luck man, live long and prosper :D
Well what can I say? I started following you because your mods were absolutely amazing, oh and did i forget to say that all your work got me started on modding myself. All I can say is we all love you here and I'm happy you got over your addiction.

YAAAAAAAAAY SWEET UPDAAATE :D
Great looking weapons. And glad you went to rehad. Good luck mate.
Took me a few days to read all your comments here, quit odd, but i was a bit nervous to read them, didn't know what to expect. But all the kind words that are said by everyone makes me feel really good. Thank you all for that!!
To answer a few questions that were asked above;
To X-Fourty7 i would like to say;
No, i really didn't know that, that the tube beneath the Bizon is magazine and can't there fore be seen as a grenade launcher. Never knew this. Still, i like this weapon so much that i will keep using it, hope not many people know its a magazine, as i did.
And to Raygoza i would like to answer, before i started mapping and modding i made cartoon books. Loved to create worlds in 2D, till i heart about the possibility of using free game editors so you could make your own 3D world. From that time on i couldn't help myself and started mapping each day, all day, lol.
thanks guys,
Leon
I am surprised you managed to keep so deep interest in it :D
For me, when i first learned about the Hammer Editor, i was sold... Mapped all and everyday, then after about half a year of producing noob maps, i simply stopped. And lost interest. Same occurred with models really, i wonder why.
Well Josh, i assume we all have those times. At least i do, i always say mapping (or modding in general) is about 65% of the time great fun and the other part is simply annoying and feels like real normal work (that isn't paid for, lol).
Maybe the percentages are a bit off, but you know what i mean.
It is that i always make such huge projects that i need to keep working on it, would trow away 3 years of work otherwise as you know. But believe me, there were and still will come lots of times that i feel like quitting. but that is simply no option. And, from experience i now know what a great feeling it gives ones a project IS released. Those days make everything seem to be worth it.
As long as i have more fun in making stuff as not having fun in it i keep on going. And i know for sure that this will always be like that.
