ZombieMod takes a unique approach on the Zombie Apocalypse by putting it in the perspective of a military commander, not a survivor. Since it is 2 years after the first infections, resistance on the east coast is organized, resulting in battles rather than small groups fighting for survival.

I like the progress and you're improving things but at the moment it seems kinda...empty.
Try adding something like what you did in the Christmas beta with the main menu with maybe an advice poster and such.
My 2 cents
At first I felt that the Christmas Beta style was the way to go, but I feel that a minimalist UI is more intuitive and visually appealing. However, I agree that this does seem a little empty.
personal opinion here Burton, but I always find things look better when they are somewhat symetrical... you know balancing out the amount of open redness of the top with the amount of landscape at the bottom.

Construction helmets? : /. If i dont know anything about this mod I would get a little bit confused for what it is. Maybe use some other skins with the awesome crossbow?

Duh! We're actually competing with the Sim City series in this mod.
Again, this is WIP, and one of the planned changes is swapping the gentlemen in the picture.
