One of the oldest and most played mod for Zero Hour is back! Zero Hour Reborn is a mod for C&C Generals Zero Hour that adds a lot of new content including new generals, units, upgrades and more. Are you ready for this?
ZH Reborn Version 7 Alpha v0.3 by No Life Studios. Are you ready for this?
1. Make sure there are no other mods installed, including any previous versions of Reborn.
2. Your Zero Hour is patched to v1.04 (If you are using The First Decade or the Ultimate Collection you don't need to do this).
1. Make a copy of your ZH folder (the one in program files, not the one in documents).
NOTE: If you're using the Ultimate Collection, disable cloud saves for Zero Hour in Origin, go here: Gentool.net, download GeneralsZH104EXE.zip, and replace "generals.exe" before copying the folder.
2. Delete the "Data\Scripts" folder, inside the copy.
3. Extract the following files into the copy:
Data\Movies\NLS_Intro.bik

!RebornAudio.big
!RebornINI.big
!RebornMaps.big
!RebornScripts.big
!RebornWindow.big
Install_Final.bmp
3. Double click "generals.exe" inside the copy to play. You can make a shortcut to your desktop to make things easier.
1. Delete the copy.
Known Issues:
- Mod is not balanced
- Campaign doesn't fully work
- Generals Challenge does not work
- China Artillery Gen Tremor and Scud Storm will stop firing when it's asked to force fire (unfixable)
- Demo trap not detonating (have not tested this, maybe it works now)
General Changes:
- Defense stealth detection reduced to 200 for ground and 350 for air
- Changed Patriot and Gattling defense range back to 275 for ground and 425 for air
- Fixed bug where Worldbuilder didn't work
- Falkand Islands map now has AI
All USA:
- Updated view and shroud clearing range for all patriot variants
- Patriots now have seperate stealth detection for ground and air units
- Patriot Battery assist weapon range reduced to 475 to 600
- Updated Officer Heal FX
- Officers now benefit from Chem Suits
- USA Officer Special Forces ability renamed to Delta Force Insertion
- New Model for Delta Force Chinook
- Delta Force members are now dropped by the chinook instead of parachuting out of it
- Delta Force Insertion number of Delta Force Riflemen reduced from 8 to 5
- Delta Force Riflemen HP and EXP values updated
- Delta Force Riflemen now has autoheal (even before getting promoted)
- Delta Force Missile Soldier HP and EXP values updated
- Delta Force Missile Soldier now has stealth garrison
- Delta Force Missile Soldier now uses the same locomotor as the DF Rifleman
- Delta Force Missile Soldier can now climb cliifs
- Delta Force Missile Soldier now has stealth garrison
- Delta Force Missile Soldier can no longer be crushed
- Delta Force Missile Soldier can now be upgraded with Chem Suits
- Delta Force Missile Soldier now has autoheal (even before getting promoted)

- Delta Force Sniper now remains stealth while moving, but is revealed while shooting

- Assault Ranger grenade now only clears one infantry from a garrison per grenade instead of clearing the whole building

- WALL Defense EMP missile anti-ground weapon range reduced to 275 from 325
- WALL Defense EMP missile anti-air weapon range reduced to 400 from 425
USA Assault:
- Advanced Patriot Battery anti-ground weapon range reduced to 275 from 300
- Advanced Patriot Battery anti-air weapon range reduced to 400 from 425
- Advanced Patriot Battery assist weapon range reduced to 475 to 600
- Nerfed Marine Rifle damage and clip size back to ZH levels
- Marine Shotgun damage type change to SNIPER
- Marine grenade damage type changed to INFANTRY_MISSILE
- Marine grenade now only clears one infantry from a garrison per grenade instead of clearing the whole building

- Troop Crawler Stealth Detection Range increased to 350 from 150
- Troop Crawler now starts empty
- Troop Crawler cost reduced to 600$
- Troop Crawler can now be upgraded individually into an Assault Troop Crawler
- Replaced Officer Infantry Reinforcements with Minigunner Paradrop
- Added back Officer Promotion upgrade
- China Officer gets tank paradrop after promotion
- Nerfed Redguard Rifle damage back to ZH levels
- Nerfed Redguard Upgraded Rifle damage to match Rifle weapon damage

2. Yes, As stated in the news article, this is mainly a bug fix release. There are no new units, but there are some new changes for existing units. Check the changelog for more details.

While helping me clear some disk space off my PC, a friend accidentally deleted something related to command and conquer and neither ZH nor ZH Reborn were working anymore (obviously) so I deleted them completely. I wanna download ZH again, but I don't remember where I downloaded it in the first place. Do you have any site suggestions ?

Oh and, Reborn is great and super fun but I was just bothere by one thing : I think that Colonel Burton has WAY too much damage xD (thats just my opinion)
I don't think that you could really change that because you'll also have to balance the damage of like.... nearly all other troops.
It's not that big of a deal and the mod is still super fun, but I just wanted to point it out.

The insane damage dealt by rifle infantry, including col. burton should have been fixed for this version.
You can buy ZH as part of the C&C Ultimate Collection from Origin, or buy a physical copy from a site like Amazon.

Challenge mode will be fixed once I figure out what's wrong with it. Artillery Overlord might come back in a future update.

Make sure the mod is installed properly, avoid playing against too many AIs, and avoid 8 player maps.
i picked a hard opponant and it seems that they don't attack they just keep on building why is that guys ?
The current AI is kinda broken, because I haven't updated it yet. AI will get an overhaul once all the planned new units have been added.

You don't need the previous alpha versions, and yes there are updates in this version compared to previous versions.

in my laptop is Nvidia Geforce 1050 Ti but i cant run Zero Hours on this graphics card. the game only runs on integrated intel graphics. i did everything. in nvidia control panel i choose performance nvidia card for all programs, in windows control panel i selected the game and dedicated geforce 1050 ti to it. but it didnt work.
what sould i do?

Can we play this mod in original Zero Hour campaign? I mean the units icon appeared and can be build in the menu in the original campaign?
Probably in the future, but right now the campaign is broken.

Extract it from !RebornINI.big, then save it in the "Data > INI" folder in the folder you installed Reborn in, then edit it with notepad.
Helicopter General and Assault are Very very op. The Apaches(other heli's too) punches very hard and both Bradley and Abrams are very tanky with very fast RoF easy to spam too). And when you press Guard, the guard area is very small compared to vanilla (honestly I want the vanilla radius back kekek) But still I love this mod. Ever since I came back playing zero hour again, this mod just made it very much more fun.
It's not that guard ranges are smaller, it's that weapon ranges are longer. This will be fixed eventually, but it will take time. OP choppers will be fixed eventually as well.

I tried reborn 6.26 on ZH version 1.0 it works... what does it mean ultimate collection or the first decade?
If you are using the version of ZH that comes with The First Decade or The Ultimate Collection, then you don't have to patch the game because it's already patched to v1.04. You might get lucky and have mods work on version 1, but it's better to patch the game to v1.04, because that's what most people use
when i am playing against the china rogue general in skirmish the game always crashes on me. i have deleted and downloaded the mod and it still keeps happening. is this bug or is there something i can do to fix this?
