Among the cold peaks of the Mahakam Mountains resides the ancient kingdom of Mahakam, home to halflings, gnomes, but most abundantly; dwarves.
Although Mahakam is a vassal state to the Kingdom of Temeria, the region is largely autonomous, as dwarves are a stubborn and tightly bound people, fiercely protective of their lands and would flood the mines if foreigners intervened in their affairs. Thus the dwarves have dug themselves deep into their mountains, not only in their mines, but by building many great impenetrable strongholds and shutting their gates to outsiders.
