Winter Warfare is a modification set during a fictional version of World War 2 were a new Ice Age has begun. The Battle of Britian fails and Operation Sealion is a sucsess, the Soviets are defeated at Stalingrad and Kursk, D-Day fails, Italy never surrendered and Japan invaded Hawaii. This mod tells the story after the main Allied Powers have fallen such as the United States, Britian and the Soviets, instead it focuses on the remaining allies as they fight in brutal winter weather aganist a huge Axis force.
Iceland vs Germany
While Iceland's main focus in the war effort has been in the liberation of Scandinavia, it has also found the manpower to attempt to free the Netherlands from German occupation. The initial assault from the iced-over sea was, surprisingly, successful, especially with the rapid deployment tactics the armed forces used. But recently, the plans on the Netherlands' southern front have come to a standstill when the joint-forces of the Icelandic 1st Armoured and 1st Infantry reached Hill 193; a snowy bastion residing near the country's edge. The Germans had been expecting the Icelanders for a long while, and consequently, a lattice-work of trenches, minefields, and other defences awaited the liberators. Trudging through the sniper-filled and booby-trapped snow made it costly for the Icelandic infantry and armoured, losing many men to that stray bullet that passed every once in a while. This continued until they reached the base of Hill 193, and prepared for a final assault. They knew their enemy would be well-equipped and well-prepared, so the commanding officers had an unorthodox tactic up their sleeves. The Germans were surprised to find the forest before them ablaze, and were even more so when the Icelanders followed in the fire's wake and fought from the cover of the smoke. It struck fear in the Germans' hearts, which made the fighting plane even in the liberators' eyes.
German Reinforcements CP only spawns vehicles when Perimetre Defences CP is captured. Coding will be needed for that.
Thin trees = burning/smoking trees
Thick trees = snowy trees
Star shapes = shell holes
We'll need lots of trench statics, and other statics too, but I like the idea.
Could ask for them from FH2 devs, if they'd be so obliged.
FH2 doesnt donate anything to any mod, except they gave their Enfield to PR last year. I am sure they wont give anything.

At the time you play the map, the fire of the forest has died down to minor fires and smouldering trees. This way we could recycle the huge smoke effects in BF2 on Operation Smoke Screen. It would really make for an awesome spectacle on the battlefield seeing loads of troops pour out from the blackness. As a defender, you have no idea where the enemy is until they clear the flames.
