Description
Spartan units have shields just like the elites.
Damage is nullified until the shield is taken down.
When the shield is down, the armor will spark, and you will take full damage.
After 10 seconds, the shield re-charges, a sparkly FX will let you know you're ready to rock again.

Spartans are about as durable as the mid to high tier elites, and almost as fast as skirmishers.
Their speed and resilience is well suited to offensive tactics. They can quickly flank enemy squads for a better shot, or sneak behind enemy positions without fear of being too overwhelmed.
Their most effective when used alongside a marine squad or other spartans. They can draw agro long enough for marines to flank, or move into close quarters under covering fire.
Be wary of close quarter combat, as short ranged weapons like SMGs or Plasma rifles do extra damage against shields.
Without shields, spartans can get chewed up by large volumes of incoming fire.
Thats's awesome! As cool as they are, the Spartans aren't really physically OP in real combat situations. They just have a good head for tactics
Spartans are pretty physically OP in real combat situations. As far as i'm concerned from the books and lore I've read, they can physically match elites, and the very strongest Spartans can hold their own against even a brute.

With the Spartans with we be able to customize their armor? Or will it be set armor pieces?
Would be great to get customizable armors, but will also be very much work for modders...
are the brutes getting only halo reach skins or will they have halo 3''s as well

Should be. Spartan IIIs were the 'expendable' soldiers, with lower-quality armour and different genetic enhancements. Spartan IIs, by contrast, had the OP MJONLIR armour, which enhanced itself using nanotech (according to one of the books), and they had superior augmentations and a perfect gene code.
Book spartan 3s would be cool too

You certainly will. This male mark V is just the first I finished. More pre-generated variants will be added in both Male and Female rigs.
We're planning to add armor abilities, so we may make some classes around those.
