It almost seems like the game engine is holding you back, at this point.
I wouldn't be surprised, they're pushing a (relatively) extremely old engine to do things that it was never supposed to do. It is like how the Fallout 76 team managed to make Gamebroyo (which is what Creation is) have a multiplayer function.
