I know the game are about competition and all, but is there a way to make a map or something for freestyle where the intention is simply to kill as many enemies as possible. Like an all out attack map. No time limit, no command points, just a map(s) where you can just play with allies to destroy endless swarms of enemies. Because for me it's just fun to continue to mow down the opposing team but sometimes some of these domination maps last only ten minutes and the assault maps are too short. Maybe the Tug-of-War with a 1 or 2 hour time limit? Is it possible?

Also on a side note how about a THEL (Tactical High Energy Laser) unit. They exist now. This THEL could intercept inbound missiles, PGM's, aircraft and maybe even some Tactical Aid. And there can be a limit to how many THEL's a team can have as well as the price of it. Simply a more precise faster acting Counter-Air Defense System. Just a thought.

The additional game modes you've mentioned (endless swarm attacks / tower defense mode) is something I've been thinking about; not sure/no promises on when that could be added, but it's definitely being considered for implementation in the near future :)

With respect to THEL, such a system only exists in prototyping/proof of concept demonstrations. No military in the entire world employs tactical laser in combat use today. Although the US Navy is currently trialing laser, it's again proof of concept, and has zero demonstrated use to combat incoming anti-ship missiles or PGMs (it's presently being tested for light-use cases, such as anti-small boat or anti-UAV, but does not stop missiles).

The biggest problem with laser today is the energy required to effect a target missile kill. In order to destroy an incoming supersonic missile with hardened warhead section, you need a laser with sufficient amount of output power -- something present shipborne and land-based mobile systems are not able to efficiently provide for sustained use in a relatively small package -- in the future, this would improve ofcourse.

The second issue with tactical laser today is the same problem we have with C-RAM/Phalanx gun-based systems -- known as "dwell time." Dwell time is the amount of time that a particular weapon system is "busy" or "tied up" serving a target and thus cannot be used to engage any other targets until the current engagement is completed. When a laser or gun-based system is engaging an incoming missile, it has dwell time of several seconds, in which the same laser turret is completely unable to engage other incoming threats. Combined with the dwell time problem, both laser and gun-based systems also suffer from a short effective kill distance -- this makes both laser and gun-based point defenses heavily vulnerable to saturation missile attacks.

The issue of dwell time and vulnerability from saturation attacks is really the reason behind Israelis choosing a missile-based system (Iron Dome) instead of laser. Missile-based interceptor systems are not as vulnerable to saturation attacks, as you can keep firing missile after missile and queue target tracking & fire control processes in a time-scheduled manner. You also have substantial range advantage with a missile-based system that no laser or gun system could ever match. But ofcourse, missile-based systems are vulnerable to "magazine depth" problem where their ability to survive saturation attacks is dependent upon how many missile rounds you have (war of inventories, whomever fires more missiles wins) -- something that laser systems would be very advantageous in the future, when they mature.

Also I have heard something about the laser reflecting in the atmosphere, so the most useful application would be ICBM interception outside the (dense) atmosphere.
