Version 1.10.4 of Western Europe 410-962 - The Winter King. Compatible with CK2 version 3.3.0.
Notes:
- IMPORTANT: Be sure to completely delete all previous versions of BTWK before installing version 1.10.4. Not doing so will result in a corrupted installation that will almost certainly be unplayable.
- This version should be compatible with any savegames started in version 1.10.0/1/2/3, though as usual we cannot guarantee that any bugs will be fixed retroactively.
- If you've been following along on our dev diaries that we've been releasing on our ParadoxPlaza forum thread over the last couple of months, note that 1.10.4 does NOT contain any of the content that we've been talking about. Those will come in a bigger update soon™.
- A reminder that the Portraits submod requires the Celtic, Norse, Mongol, Early Western, and Iberian Portraits, as well as Monks and Mystics and Holy Fury. Please ensure that you have all of the required portrait packs before activating, as otherwise you will face graphical issues.
- As usual, if you see any bugs, balance issues, or just weird behavior please feel free to report them so we can investigate and fix them.

I like the look of this mod but it crashes when I get to the select new game section.
I have all the DLC's. Do I need to deactivate some for the mod to work?.
All DLCs should be compatible. Do you have any other mods active? What's your checksum?
Hi, I make sure to have no other mods active when I load it, just in case it causes problems. When I activate the mod I also activate the music and portrait options that are there. I just now tried it with all three selected and then once again with just the main mod and it crashed while it was loading. Before I could get to the menu's.
Could you try any of the following you haven't done yet:
1) Make sure that no other mods are enabled
2) Make sure that you're running the correct CK2 version (3.3.0)
3) Verify the integrity of your CK2 version
4) Clear your game cache (everything in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\Britannia, except for save games and Screenshots if you want to keep them)
5) Redownload the mod (possibly from another mirror)
Thanks for the quick reply's. Turns out that I had placed the mod in the mods folder instead of Paradox Interactive/Documents. I dragged it over and it now works.
Looking forward to playing it.
That would be a problem, yeah. Hope you enjoy the mod.
Hi again. I have a new issue. Not sure if it's your mod but when I click custom game and the ruler design CK2 crashes. Is your mod incompatible with ruler designer?.
Yes, it is. Generally assume that total overhauls like this one are incompatible with all other mods unless you have evidence otherwise.
It's not another mod it's the ruler designer dlc.
Oh, sorry. The ruler designer works fine for me; could you confirm your checksum and the modules you have enabled?
Yep, I only have the Winter king mods enabled when I try to use but it kicks me out of the game.
I am rather confused also by the conditions for the Imperium Britannia as it says All of the following must be true: Must be a subject kingdom.
Does this mean I have to be or that I need to have subject kingdoms?.
puttyman24 What's your checksum ingame?
If you're referring to the last requirement for the Form the Imperium Britanniarum decision, it basically says that at least 70% of Britannia has be either directly controlled by the High King or be controlled by one of the High King's Subject Kingdoms. There's another requirement that requires you to be the High King (the slightly roundabout requirements are required to make it work properly due to oddities in the game's code). You don't technically need Subject Kingdoms, but it will be very difficult to meet the requirement without them in a timely fashion.
Thanks for the quick response. I've managed to form the Imperium. It seems I just needed to control all of the territory Rome controlled historically in Britain.
Hi, I was wondering when the Western Roman Empire will fall as I want to reform the Roman Senate in Britain but can't until the Empire has no title holder.
It will fall at its historical date in 480.
Ok good to know. I have an issue with the 479 AD bookmark. I'm playing as King Arthur and want to get married but can't selection him. When I click on arrange marriage it just shows other people and not him no matter which side I click.
Intentional. You'll get an event about marrying either Guinevere or Ceinwyn after a few years, once you become regent of Dumnonia.
Ah I see, thanks for the quick response.
The mod is quite fun so far.
For some reason all of the Portraits are Blank
No back ground or Person
oh nvm
