Warsword Conquest is a total conversion of warbands mount and blade 1.153 based on the warhammer fantasy world by Games workshop and is single player only at moment.
Since the last article I have added some new spells which will mean most spell schools will have 8 - 10 spells to purchase instead of 6 - 7.
Above is the two new spells for the light magic school which is shimmering cloak (83% chance to absorb all non magical ranged attacks) and also mace of years which is one of our new summon weapon spells.
If you use a summon weapon you cannot cast any more magic for the 30 seconds you are equipped with it but they are very strong (they increase in strength with magic level) and can be just what you need at the right time.
When the new update is out you will be able to purchase spells from the guild in the town menu so long as you are the right race and gender for the faction and you have at least 1 in the magic skill.
The only factions where gender matters is Bretonnia, Kislev and Nippon where you have to be female to learn their available schools.
Projectile weapons. You cycle through the spells you have in your inventory via the keys b and n and if you fulfill the requirements to cast you will be equipped with the spell.
At the start of the battle the game gathers all the spells in your inventory which you qualify to use and makes them available (top left of screen under mana). The most important thing to remember is to leave the bottom weapon inventory square blank when you go into battle as the spells need a square to move in and out of.
Absolutely love the fact that spells actually have graphical representation. From what I've seen in other places it's generally not so present or easy to miss.

How will spells be used? As projectile weapons or chosen each time from a spell book?

How will game recognize spells in inventory if they are not equipped?

Jesus, I can barely handle that teasing.
Will there be High Magic spells or Ice Magic in the upocomming release?
Both, although to use ice magic you have to be a female human. In order to learn high magic you have to be a high or wood elf of either gender.
Woaaah...shiny...
