Haha it is tempting. Just wondering something about the diablerie system - with all these new opportunities to gain extra disciplines, is there any risk of overloading the game engine or anything, having access to potentially so many disciplines on one character?

Yes! There's a note about this on the FAQ page. If you get more than 6 then the hot-key menu doesn't work so well. An unfortunate side-effect, I just cannot fix, you know.

Hey BurgerMeister01,
thanks for the release. I was wondering:

1) I would be tempted to install the plus patch, but to be honest I don't like the new quests content added (referring to the library quest in particular) that feels added without any real link to the playthrough. Did you flesh the UP "plus" content?

2) By the way, did you add an option for gimble prostethics to send him to the hospital? I was intrigued by the option, but the way it is currently executed in the plus patch does not intrigue me very much.

3) Why did you put the walkthrough out? :( I am honest, I was tempted to read about who you can diablerie and who you cannot. Would have preferred to just know that you can diablerie this or that guy, without informations on how to make the diablerie successfull (or that information provided in a different file).

1) I didn't make many changes to the UP, except taking away the sabbat ending that normally comes with the UP, and not making the werewolf fightable. You can always just skip the library quest!

2) No, I think that comes in a later version of UP, IIRC.

3) A lot of people prefer having the full picture, so it's there for those people. Hopefully you can skim the headers, without reading the details.

There seems to be a bug with this mod's version of the Camarilla Edition. With clan Tremere, Blood Buff isn't ignoring the attribute limit set by it's clan weakness, even though it's supposed to. I managed to fix this by editing the traiteffects000.txt file so that Blood Buff raises the maximum attribute limit to 10, like it does in the Unofficial Patch

I had to edit the Trait limits line on the Tremere clan to circumvent this problem, is there way to just make Blood Buff ignore the the attribute limit while still keeping the clan weakness?

Clan Quest mod was always my favorite Mod for VTMB so when I saw this had an update I couldn't wait to download it. However my Webroot antivirus said it had a virus????

Moddb has given it their blessing and they will typically check for these things first. Most antivirus program are going to be overly cautious with an exe files. Just disable it temporarily while you install the mod.

With the modloader you can have them both installed, but you have to play them separately. If you took the 10.1 files and copied them over the CQM files you'd break the game =)

So I found a bug where as a Malkavian female, when using Dementation, the animation played causes the pc model to stretch out weirdly. Any way of fixing this?

Nope! It's a known bug in the system, sadly. A lot of the female animations look totally weird.

UP 10.1 Contains a fix for female hands, but the fix is also available in a post made by DDLullu in the UP 10.0 thread. Copy-paste this link into your search bar to download the .zip that fixes casting hands, and put move_and_ranged.mdl in CQM\models\character\shared\female

How does being haunted by the people you've diablerized actually work? In mechanical terms.

Also the requirements for diablerie - do i need both the dom/dement + ability score or just one of the statistics listed?

Technically, every 3 minutes in game time, a script runs that gives you a one in eight chance of frenzying for each soul that you've failed to subsume, so to be clear if it's two souls, it's two distinct 1/8 chances. Malkavians are twice as likely to make you frenzy, 1/4.
Of course, this doesn't trigger under a number of circumstances: if you're in dialog, watching a cut scene, in elysium, etc.

Not sure I follow the second question, but if you mean based on the walk through, the requirements needed NOT to be haunted, its only ever one of the other.

The game exits when I try to enter the Empire Hotel. I have not yet completed the Elizabeth Dane quest.

The game is a little more prone to crashing with the mod. Does it crash every time you enter the empire hotel, or is it fixable just by reloading the game?

You are a true Master! The script, voices, new maps they are just so pro, thanks for releasing it! I'm still on my gameplay in East LA but I'm having many random crashes, they usually happens during map changes and I already experienced more than 10 crashes till now. So I just wanna ask if this instability is expected during this delelopment stage due these new contents or it would not be happening? All these crashes started after I joined Sabbat. It doesn't prevent me to continue my old savegame just makes my gameplay unstable understand. Thanks

I think its some instability introduced by the mod, unfortunately. The problem got worse towards the end of the development, right before release. Because I can't reliably reproduce the problem, and because it's a bug deep in the gam'e engine, I'm not sure if I can fix it, or how. I'm going to have to try before the next release! Thanks for being patient, I think reloading usually fixes it.

I'd like to report a problem and a possible solution but first I'm just gonna say that this mod is awesome, really love it. Thank you for your work and everyone involved.

The problem: The masquerade system. The Sabbat quests drains your humanity, which makes you frenzy more frequently and thus violating the masquerade. You also can't start some quests that give you "masquerade redemption" because Camarilla NPC's will hate you after joining the Sabbat I believe. Of course the masquerade doesn't mean anything to the Sabbat but it'll still get you a game over because of how the game works. I'm watching your videos on youtube and you said something about not being able to change that or something so I thought about some things to fix this issue

Possible solution: Add an NPC in the Sabbat hub that would be able to give you "masquerade redemptions" like normals quests in the game as a reward for something. At first I thought you could buy it with cash but first you would need to complete a task for said NPC. The lore reason behind this is that you don't want the Camarilla hunting you down since you're still quite young and don't want them messing up things in Sabbat's territory going after you

Possible solution 2: I don't know if it's possible, I heard the game is very unfriendly to modders but simply deactivate the masquerade system. Remove it completely (I'm well aware that this will break the game for those who don't wanna join the Sabbat and make some quests meaningless...but It's just an idea)

Yea, I can see why this can be a problem! I think I might mess up in my current LP! It still kind of makes sense that the Camarilla would come for you if you mess up the masquerade too much, but the Sabbat generally doesn't care about that. I could change it so that after you join the Sabbat, if you get a violation, you just get a redemption right away.

That's an excellent idea. The whole masquerade thing doesn't fit the Sabbat at all, using this method to counter it would make more sense lore-wise and prevent the game from breaking your amazing mod.

Game crashes with "access violation" when I'm trying to save it in or leave Hallowbrook hotel after delivering sarcophagus(playing as Sabbat). Every time.

Try re-loading from an earlier save, is unfortunately the best advice I can give atm. It's a memory leak issue I'm looking into to solve.
