Vaygr Expansion is a mod which aims to stay true to the original Homeworld 2 game by merely expanding on what is already there and not adding any new major gameplay mechanics or 'tweaking' any of the existing units. The goal of this mod is to tell the story of Makaan, and his Vaygr, from his rise to Warlord, all the way to Battle for Sajuuk, and even after. Description

Here comes the first round of concept art!

Vanig is the location of the first mission in the campaign. It is home to Makaan's stronghold, Vanig Station, as well as several outlying perimeter stations. The area is also home to a massive long-reaching dust cloud that stretches across the area. Who knows what threat it could be hiding?

As a criticism of the art itself, I love it, the detail is amazing and you've clearly shown where everything is suppose to be and what it is - As well as the scale.

Here's what I said about the concept itself:

I like the station half, it's perfect, the only thing I could change about it is maybe adding some more 'smaller' arms to compliment the larger ones of varying sizes and length.

The 'scaffold' however, I feel that it looks more like a landing pad than a place where the flagship was constructed. It should be more 'closed off' and tight like how the 'supports' and 'arms' were at Tanis during the Pride's construction, however, going from the bottom of the Flagship was a great choice. You got the scale spot on overall and it looks super - Minus what I've mentioned. The 'scaffold' shouldn't obstruct the Flagship enough on any side other than the station-side so that you can't identify that it's the Flagship. It needs to also be open enough so that resource collectors can go 'inside' the scaffold carrying RU crates, parts, and actually 'repair' the Flagship instead of being skin-tight.

What do you guys think?
