Vaygr Expansion is a mod which aims to stay true to the original Homeworld 2 game by merely expanding on what is already there and not adding any new major gameplay mechanics or 'tweaking' any of the existing units. The goal of this mod is to tell the story of Makaan, and his Vaygr, from his rise to Warlord, all the way to Battle for Sajuuk, and even after. Please be aware, that you will not be able to listen to the audio straight away, as it has to be processed by ModDB before it is published! :)

In HW2, they minimally processed the Bentusi actor's voice.

In Cata and HW1, the processing sounds less metallic and echo-like. The frequency between echos is not uniform, and also not as short. There is also a greater emphasis on the S's.

I'm pretty sure Relic and Barking Dog overlapped three or four differently processed versions of the same dialogue recording. The version you can hear before the other "echos" sounds like it has been processed to a lower pitch than the rest. This is opposite of realistic echoing, and part of why the Bentusi sound so strange.

Thanks for the advice! I'll pass this along to our audio editor.

Description

This is our test of our technique to edit voice audio to make it sound similar to that of the Bentusi's.
